Celebrating the successes of Cleveland District State High School’s graduates David Atkins Music and Music Production CELEBRATING SUCCESS across school and community 1991 graduate David Atkins was involved in the music program from his first day at CDSHS and spent his time at high school learning how to perform, write and record music. When he graduated, David completed a degree at the Conservatorium of Music and a modern music course at the College of Technical & Further Education. At the same time, he sought experience as a performer and recorded his own music from a studio he set up at home. David currently has a diverse portfolio, not only as a musician but as a recording engineer and producer. He is also a DJ, touring manager, booking agent and record label owner. He co- founded the Resin Dogs (a Brisbane based Hip Hop band) in 1997 and joined Australian rock band Wolfmother Version 2.0 in 2008 as their drummer, recording their platinum-selling album ‘Cosmic Egg’ in Los Angeles. Most recently David set up Hydrofunk HQ, a studio/production house in Brisbane, and is a co-founder and director of the well-established Hydrofunk Records.
