I.GENERAL.

Fire is one of the most serious hazards to development, threatening life/ safety pants and the propertics.

All fire alarm and first aid fire fighting system will be automatic and self - monitoring so as to eliminate possible failure due to human errors. Also fire detection and fighting system shall be able to locate immediately and precisely the origin of the problems and allow the resort management and security officers to respond immediately providing the fire brigade with all necesscary means and facilities to fight the fire if the fire can not be controlled by the first aid fire fighting systems.

The fire alarm system will be fully interfaced with other services installations, including electrical, mechanical ventilation, emergency announcement, etc. Such that the entire services installations will operate as an integrated system in response to the emergency situation.

An emergency voice communication system fully intergrated and designed as part of the fire protection and alarm system will be provided to enhance safe and orderly evacuation of occupations of the building in case of emergency situations.Emergency power supply will be provided for all the fire protection and detection systems.

1.1. Phm vi cng vic.

1.2. Codes and Regulations.

The design and installation of the fire protection systems will comply with the following codes:

SYSTEM DESCRIPTION.

2.1. General fire fighting system.

The building includes two main parts

M T H THNG2.1. Tng quan h thng cha chy.

Phn xy dng bao gm 2 phn chnh:

Block Building: Basement, Ground Floor, Mezzannine Floor, 1st Floor, 2nd Floor, 3rd Floor, 4th Floor and Terrace Plan.

Water is supplied from the fire water tank 200m3. Besides being connected to the water supply system of industrial parks in DN100 pipe to increase the flow of water storage

Three fire pumps in pump room will suppy water for whole fire fighting system, one to two pump is in service and other is in standby.The jockey pump in pump room will supplement pressure for fire fighting system.

Every pump will be control by one individual control panel.External areas: Hose reel system will be provided for external with spacing 40m in dimeter, and the system operation pressure will 5 to 6 bars.- Hydrant system will be provided for landscape areas with spacing 100m in diameter and the system operation pressure will be 5 to 6 bars.

2.2. Sprinkler system.

Sprinkler system shall be located at all positions inside the building. Except for some rooms, such as electrical rooms, service room, chiller room. Sprinkler system nozzles include the following:

Sprinkler head consists of a category closed upright and a pendent kind. Pendent type comes with the cap ceiling.The also have a sprinkler head type and a kind of upright and pendent . 2.2. H thng cha chy sprinkler

Hose-reel system

Hose reel system will be provided for the project, located at the planting areasEach hose-reel shall be equipped with one length of 20m to 25m hose complete with jet/spray/fog nozzles. Water jets must reach a distance of at least 15m at rated system pressure.

External fire Hydrant.

The fire hydrant system shall be provided for landscape areas. Accordingly, the main features of fire hydrants system shall be as follows:Fire fighting appliances. Equipment, component, hoses, and like shall be compatible with the local fire authority.Spacing of fire hydrant shall be within 150m.

Service valves shall be provided to facilitate partial shut dowm for the maintenance of the main pipe.Water shall be provided via pump from the fire water tank.Each fire hydrant shall be equipped with two lengths of 25m hose complete with jet/spray/fog nozzles. Water jets from each must reach a distances of at least 15m at the rated system pressure.Breeching inlet will be provided to be enable the replenishment water to the fire water tank by the fire fighters during emergency when the main water supply fails.

2.5. Portable Fire Extinguishers:

Portable fire extinguishers of suitable type will be installed in the various areas as follows:Fire extinguishers will be provided where required as determined by the architects and as shown on the architectural drawing.3 kg CO2 fire extinguisher8kg ABC fire extinguisher powder

PIPEWORK

General

Pipe runs and location shows on the drawingsareapproximateandintendedto indicate the general runs and locations only. The exact runs and locations of all pipelines shall be determined at site.All pipes shall be fixed clear of one another and be so arranged as to provide easy access for Maintenance and repair. When pipe runs in parallel to one another

Or close to walls, floor slabs, beams, columns, etc..., a minimum distance of 50mm shall be maintained between the surface of pipeline.

Pipe & fitting Material

The pipe and fitting material shall conform to the following standard and suitable for the working pressure. In any case, they shall be suitable for a working pressure of not less than 14bars (200psi).

Hose reel pipe: The pipe must be black steel steel pipe conforming to BS 1387.

3.2.2. Hydrant pipe: The pipe must be galvanized mild steel pipe conforming to BS 1387.

Valves

General

All valves used shall be of bronze, cast iron or cast steel construction and of approved manufacture conforming for the working pressure encountered. All valve of 50mm diameter or less than be of screw connections. Valves of 65mm diameters and above shall be of flanges connections unless otherwise specified. For isolation purpose, gate valves shall be used. Check valve used shall be of swing or lift with spring return type.

Installation valves shall consist of a main stop valve, an alarm valve and a water motor alarm and gong, conforming to the.

The main stop valve shall be secured open by a padlocked strap. A location plate with approved lettering shall be provided.

The alarm valve must be to Vietnam Standard and installed

Check valve shall be of the spring-loaded non slamming type. These shall be female screwed connection for size up to and including 50mm diameter. The contractor is required to select these valves in relation to the velocity of the water in the pipe. In all cases, the valve is required to operate silently on the reversal of water flow.

Globe valve shall be supplied and fitted to proper balancing and water flow control. They shall be of the globe pattern, screwed gunmetal for size up to 50mm diameter. Valve 100mm diameter and above shall be of flanged cast bronze or cast bronze body type.

Strainers: Strainers shall be the Y type complete with removable model metal

strainers screen not greater than 56mesh.Strainers up to and including 80mm diameter shall be cast iron type and flanged.Gunmetal drain cocks shall be provided necessary to ensure that all sections of the pipe work and plant can be effectively follows: tanks, plant and pipes above 150mm diameter not less than 25mm diameter. Pipe 80mm to 125mm diameter - 15mm, pipes up to 65mm diameter -

Pipe joining (valves & equipments): for all pipe connection to valves, strainers and equipment flanged, or screwed joint shall be used. All screwed joint shall be made with Teflon or equal approved PTFE thread sealing tape; hemp or similar organic substances shall be permitted.Galvanized steel pipe work : All galvanized steel pipe work joint up to and including 50mm diameter shall be made by means of screwed connections. Pipe 65mm diameter and above shall be joint by means of flanges or screwed or victaulic connections. Welding of galvanized steel pipe work shall not be permitted unless approved by the Project Manager / M&E Consultant in writing. In all cases, where pipes are joined to flanged equipment, the appropriate mating flanges shall be used.

Pipe joint: all pipe jointing shall be carried out in a proper workman like manner. Steel piping joints in steel pipes made by welding shall be to the approval of the M&E Con sultant. Pipe ends shall be prepared by machining, grinding, or machine gas cutting or hand flame cutting with subsequent grinding. For pipe which are intended to be in axial alignment, the plane of the end shall be the square with the axis of the pipe. All welding shall be done by approval competent welders. Where welds fail to comply with the requirement of the M&E consultant / Project manager, the faulty welds shall be cut out and rectified.Where necessary, protection from weather shall be provided bys the Contractor to enable welding operation to be performed properly. Flanged where weld joint are impractical or where require for erection purposes or at connection to fitting on steel pipe 80mm diameter or over or at all flanged valves, flanged shall be fitted and welded on to pipe to approval. Jointing flanges shall be truly parallel to each other so that bolts are used only to make joint tight, and not to pull up flanges not true alignment. All bolts and nuts shall be of bright steel of approval manufacture. Flanges shall conform to BS . Taylor metallic corrugated jointing rings with approval jointing paints or other material shall be used between flanges.

Elbow and tee: on all changes of directions, long radius elbows and sweep or pitcher tees shall be used. Short elbow shall not be used otherwise approved by M&E Consultant. Bends offsets and other pipe fitting will be rejected. Short fill - in sections of piping less than 150mm long shall not be welded onto any pipe run unless otherwise approved by M&E Consultant. Reduction in the diameter for through flows pipes shall be made by means of reducing sockets for vertical pipe only; for horizontal connection to pump suction, eccentric reducing sockets shall be used.

Testing of pipe: all pipe works shall be hydrostatic tested in convenient section as the work proceeds. The M&E Consultant or his representative shall be notified 3 workings day in advance of the intended hydrostatic test on the piping network. The decision on what constitute a convenient section of the pipe work to be tested shall be at the discretion of the M&E Consultant and his decision shall be final. The hydrostatic pressure test to be applied over the pipe work shall be held for 24 hours. In the event of any pressure drop during the test periods, the leaks shall be found, make good and the line is re- tested. Particular care shall be taken to exclude all air from the system during test.

Excavation works: all excavation works shall be carried out as nearly as possible to exact dimensions and shape so that the minimum of filling in afterwards will be necessary. Water shall be removed by pumping and all temporary expedients required for the dealing with water shall be the Contractor's liability. Excavation shall be carried out in the dry. A mechanical excavator shall be employed by the Contractor only if the sub-soil is suitable and with the approval of the Construction Consultant. The Contractor must excavate the pipe trench in lengths which is subject to the Construction Consulant, approval.

Sand bed: Sand bed shall be approved clean unwashed sand, compacted to the thickness indicated on the drawing, and spread and level as directed.Back-filling: back-filling shall be completed as soon as practicable, after all pipes have been laid and satisfactorily tested. All back- filling shall be well rammed and compacted., The first 450mm of backfill over any laid pipe is to be hand rammed, care being taken to compact all fill at the side of pipe without disturbing its line or gradient.
