• An energy pyramid shows the flow of energy in a community. Each level represents different groups of organisms that could make up a food chain. The bottom level indicates producers, and the other levels are consumers. At each level, about 90% of the
energy is used by the organism. Only 10% is available to be passed on to the organism that eats it (the next trophic level)
