ON-CAMPUS LIVING = COLLEGE SUCCESSStudies of students who live on campus (compared to those living off campus) have found that they are more likely to be satisfied with their college experience, be more involved in academic and extracurricular activities, complete their undergraduate degree, and pursue graduate studies. That’s why, at Cal State East Bay, we strive to provide our students with the highest quality — and most enriching — on-campus residential living experience possible.
You’re likely to be both excited and anxious about living with a roommate for the first time. Whether you choose to live with someone you know or a whole new set of roommates, communication is key to a great roommate relationship. The best way to get to know each other is to talk about your likes and dislikes.Prior to move in, you’ll complete a roommate agreement online in the Housing Portal that establishes expectations and builds a strong foundation for a great roommate experience.
HOUSING TOURS AVAILABLEHousing tours, which last 30 minutes, are given by a student and may include a visit to a showroom apartment. Housing tours take place Tuesday through Thursday from 11 a.m.-3 p.m., except the week prior to and during the week of finals of each quarter to respect the studies of the students. Please check in at the Lassen Hall Housing Office upon arrival to complete a short registration form.
The Housing Office is located in Lassen Hall, 1901 Harder Road, Hayward, CA 94542.
