Changing How Non-Profit Activity Helps Africa!

Activ8Change is leading the way in creating a long-term self-sufficiency solution

for African communities, by connecting together the wide array of existing socio-economic development investment and initiatives, into one easy to access mechanism. Working with Governments, NGOs, Foundations, charities, development agencies, CSR and CICs , Activ8Change crowd-funds its Programmes and embeds them into a purpose designed development environment within the national fabric of a country. A potent solution and solid investment vehicle to be adopted for Philanthropic endeavours.

Activ8Change is the signature IP and trading name for Change Innov8tors Limited. Registered in England & Wales No. 8663293.

The development road across the globe has been paved with good intentions; billions have been spent in the interest of trying to support sustained community change and long-term development!

Community Development

CSR in Africa: A Growing Board Room Focus! Africa is a continent of over one billion people and now reaps more success and progress, but still confronts many of the same old challenges.

3 Pillars of CSR in Africa:

1. Economic Development,

2. Financial Empowerment,

3. Workforce Readiness.

Once the domain of larger global companies, for the communities in their host countries, corporate social responsibility (CSR) in emerging markets has scored on the interest of multinational and local companies alike. Through a mix of CSR and Market Entry, globally companies are beginning to focus upon and seek to operate within Africa!

• Corporate Governance: Central to the credibility of any CSR investment, CG is the

viewed integrity and tangibility which shines a light on the entire company.

• Effective CSR Projects: CSR investment must deliver on promises and be tangible.

Involvement in delivering social development, attracts attention back to products and services.

• Corporate Foundation: Adopting 'giving back' investment strategy, delivered

through a solid CSR mechanism, helps companies to be become strategic, focused and connects into communities.

CSR in Africa Has a Dual Impact! For companies who seek to invest in CSR activities within Africa there exists an enormous opportunity. However, with opportunity comes the need to mitigate risk; financially and commercially. Effective socio-economic development initiatives in Africa, which deliver tangibility and robust financial management, are rare. Companies need to select the correct relationships through which to operate their CSR activities so as to not damage their brands:

1. A vehicle which organisations and non profits can adopt to work and invest through to enhance their community impact within Africa.

2. A financially secure and entirely self-sufficient structure, which supports innovative development Programmes based upon 3 measured outcomes: Economic Development; Financial Empowerment; and Workforce Readiness.

3. A global venture philanthropy community of Sponsors who “crowd-fund” an array of Programmes over a sustained period, helping establish the structured conditions within which communities can transform themselves.

Within purpose designed development environments, embedded into the fabric of a community, Activ8Change provides 3 specific benefits:

What is Activ8Change? A community development mechanism, comprising of a Formula and Portfolio, which is embedded to become a socio-economic development solution.

Enterprise – micro enterprises to serve local needs and wider marketplaces,

Employment – relevant skilled labour to serve local/regional enterprise needs,

Education/Training – continual development of required skills and knowledge, to enhance the community economic growth.

A potent end-to-end transition foundation upon which development programmes are created, equipping and embedding new skills, to then incubate on-going enterprise/employment until fully sustainable. Programmes stimulate and nurture community economic development, by providing relevant skills acquisition and knowledge development, ultimately delivering a tangible outcome:

Activ8Change is self-sufficient and versatile, with a unique global Portfolio of Partner, Supporter and Sponsor brands which underpin it.

Sponsors are a community of venture philanthropists, who elect to finance individual Programmes over the long-term, as part of their strategic CSR objectives. Crowd funders for specific needs!

The Portfolio Fund is a Not-For-Profit entity and sponsorship fund management facility. Established to provide secure banking and full accountability for Programme finances around the globe. Ultimately it is a transparent alternative to the traditional CSR investment vehicles - particularly designed to enable development investment into fragile investment environments, such as Africa.

The Formula

The Portfolio

A purpose designed community Development Environment is created, and embedded to nurture long-term Enterprise & Employment from incoming Programmes.

national government).

existing initiatives).

Communication (local & national media,

social groups, networks).

3 A global portfolio of brand Partners, Supporters and Sponsors underpin every Programme.

Enterprises

Skilled Workforce

Connected together, it creates a self-sufficient environment within which GDP can be stimulated, and Per Capita Income nurtured.

Strategic Sponsorships: collaborations for crowd-funding between

not for profits, for profits and the public sector toward a common goal.

Targeted Problem Solving: defining specific challenges for a

practical Programme solution to attain impact within a reasonable time and budget.

Catalytic Giving: Crowd-funded sponsorship that when combined

has an impact exponentially greater than traditional socio-economic development investment .

Venture Philanthropy & Crowd Funding!

Activ8Change is built upon on the principle that collective financial support, for a defined community development objective, ensures longevity. Activ8Change is offered to national and multinational companies, Aid Agencies, Government Development Agencies, Foundations and individuals, as a vehicle through which to deliver far reaching and measurable enterprise development and employment in Africa.

The Engagement Process is simplistic: 1. Join the Portfolio community as a Sponsor and

benefit from international brand association. 2. Internally, decide upon the level of

involvement and investment being allocated to go via the Activ8Change vehicle.

3. Activ8Change pitches to the entire Sponsor community when seeking particular Programme funding “crowd-funding”.

4. Funding is secured and managed within the Portfolio Fund, where detailed Programme results and metrics are produced.

This refreshing approach ensures that Sponsors remain in total control of their specific involvement and investment, with the guarantee transparency and tangibility, within Africa.
