ArcelorMittal supports local learners to develop entrepreneurial skillsArcelorMittal South Africa prides itself in being the lifeblood of a developing nation. As one of the corporate leaders in the field of skills development and training, ArcelorMittal South Africa embarked on a relationship with Junior Achievement South Africa (JASA) aimed at developing youth in the Newcastle area on various life skills competencies. ArcelorMittal South Africa has committed R140 000 to JASA which will be used to prepare youths for life after school by raising their awareness of economic issues, teaching entrepreneurial and life skills, providing an understanding of the business world and enhancing a sense of personal responsibility through practical business experience. The three girls are from the rural community and were identified by the shelter mother. These are orphans who are looking after homes and younger siblings and are dependent on government grants as a source of income. They have completed matric but have no resources to further their education. This opportunity came as a miracle in their lives.
