Take Your Collection to the Top!The Rarest and Most Beautiful Coins Offered by the U.S. Mint

Order as a Clad set or 90% Silver set

This was the first time I have ever bought a ‘proof’ coin. The difference in quality is simply unbelievable! The finish is so bright, and clean. I am very, very satisfied!

Bill K.—Nashville, Tennessee

The Affordable Rare Coins That Collectors Don’t Want You to Know AboutU.S. Mint Proof Statehood Quarters were never offered for public circulation. They’re exceedingly rare – in fact, the typical mintage of a Proof Statehood Quarter is less than ONE HALF of 1% of the entire mintage of the Statehood Quarters you might find in your spare change. Proof versions are SO desirable that they are often selfishly hoarded by wealthy collectors.

Statehood Quarter Proofs are produced exclusively at the U.S. Mint’s San Francisco facility and are struck to the same demanding standards that have been in place since 1965. These coins are limited edition works of art – the highest quality coinage produced by the U.S. Mint.

The Proof coins from 1999 and 2001 are extremely hard to obtain, but with either one of these packages you are assured to get every one of these coins in pristine proof condition!

Act Fast – These Certified PR70 Proof Quarters Sell Out Quickly!

Silver Proof Quarter SetsThe ultimate edition of the America the Beautiful Quarters® Program! Never touched by human hands and specially minted to deliver incredible detail with mirror-like backgrounds, each coin is a masterpiece struck in 90% SILVER.

Proofs are collector versions of the highest quality. They are produced exclusively at the United States Mint in San Francisco and feature the distinguishing “S” mintmark.

These sets sell out quickly at the U.S. Mint and are typically minted in quantities of fewer than a million a year. America the Beautiful Quarters® already represent one of the lowest production levels of a U.S. Mint coin series in decades. That makes these silver proofs very rare, and very collectible.

2010 . . . . . . . 19944 | $69.95

2011 . . . . . . . 19976 | $69.95

2012 . . . . . . 22692 | $129.95

2013 . . . . . . . 24364 | $69.95

Clad Proof Quarter SetsThese special-edition America the Beautiful Quarters® are real currency and are one of the highest quality coins produced by the U.S. Mint. These proof collector versions are specially minted to deliver the ultimate in detail with a mirror-like background.

Proof coins represent only a fraction of the total coins manufactured each year…add to that the fact that the America the Beautiful Quarters® represent one of the lowest production levels of a U.S. Mint coin in decades and what you have is a sure-fire collectible; one that you’ll treasure for years to come. Don't hesitate, this could be your only chance to obtain the complete series!

2010 . . . . . . . 19943 | $49.95

2011 . . . . . . . 19975 | $29.95

2012 . . . . . . . 22685 | $29.95

2013 . . . . . . . 24362 | $29.95

Artwork for each America the Beautiful Quarter® is first digitally mastered in 3-D to capture the beauty of America’s natural parks and historic landmarks. The artwork is then passed on to the San Francisco Mint, the exclusive minting facility for proof-quality coins. The mint produces a limited number of these proofs, where each coin is double struck for crisp relief providing a level of detail not found on typical circulating coinage. Roughly 1 in 1000 of these proofs achieves the flawless grade of PR70. Even fewer qualify for the designation of Deep Cameo (DCAM). Each coin in these sets is individually encapsulated and certified PR70 by ANACS. Available as a Clad Proof Set and Silver Proof Set.

2013 Clad Proof Set . . . .24462 | $199.95

2013 Silver Proof Set. . . .24463 | $249.95

In a word, WOW! The details of each proof coin are so crisp and clear...I didn’t know that this level of finish was even possible. I can actually see my reflection on the surface of the coin...It’s like a little mirror!

Sacagawea Golden DollarsA Rare and Complete Collection of All 27 Coins From 2000-2008Sacagawea dollars – otherwise known as “the golden dollar” – were first released in 2000 and feature a young Shoshone Native American woman Sacagawea and her infant son, Jean Baptiste Charbonneau. Sacagawea’s significance in American history is that of guide and translator for much of the infamous Lewis and Clark Expedition of 1804 and 1805.

From 2002 to 2008, the coins were produced only for collectors and sold in bags and rolls priced at a premium above face value. Over the years, collectors tended to order fewer bags and rolls, resulting in a trend of declining mintage and increased rarity.

Right now you can own the complete 27-coin set of Sacagawea Golden Dollars – including all 9 San Francisco proofs, all 9 of the Mint State Philadelphia coins, and all 9 Denver Mint State coins. The complete set of coins comes with a deluxe presentation display box as shown!

The 2008 coins are the last of the original Sacagawea design. So this could be your last opportunity to own this complete historic set!

*Special Mint Set

American Mint SetsMade Exclusively for Collectors

The United States Mint has created annual sets of uncirculated coins for collectors known as Mint sets since 1947. Packaged just for collectors; these popular sets provide collectors with one example of each coin issued for circulation in a complete set issued by the U.S. Mint.

Amidst a few interruptions and several changes in format, this popular collector offering continues into the present day.

Some sets are of particular note to collectors since they contain coins not issued for circulation. This includes the 1970 Mint Set, which includes the 1970-D Kennedy Half, and later sets issued in 1973 and 1981 that include dollar coins not issued for circulation. The 1996 Mint Set included the 1996-W Roosevelt Dime struck at the West Point Mint – a coin found only in the sets for the 50th anniversary of the coin series.

From 2005 to present, the United States Mint has used a special satin finish for coins included in the annual Mint Set. Along with particularly low mintage, this adds another unique aspect to the sets.

To commemorate the 25th Anniversary of the American Eagle Silver Coin Program, the United States Mint released a limited-edition set of five one-ounce American Eagle Silver Coins. This special American Eagle Silver Five-Coin Set is an exquisite collection that captures the essence and beauty of these cherished coins – in stunning proof, reverse proof, uncirculated and bullion coins minted by the United States Mint facilities at West Point, San Francisco and Philadelphia.

The reverse proof and the San Francisco coins are unique to the set, and with a mintage of 100,000, they are the second-lowest mintage Silver Eagle coins ever produced after the 1995 (W) Proof-only Silver Eagle. The 1995 coin was only available to collectors who purchased a five-coin set with four American Gold Eagle Coins and the Proof Silver Eagle, so this is a similar rare opportunity!

The 20th Anniversary American Silver Eagle Set was released by the United States Mint in 2006 to celebrate twenty years of the American Eagle Coin Program. The set includes three different collectible Eagles, and two of these coins represent brand new (at the time) finishes for the series.

The W-Mint Uncirculated Eagle made its debut in this set, struck from a specially burnished blank and carrying a West Point ‘W’ mintmark. Joining the uncirculated coin is a standard 2006-W Proof American Silver Eagle. This coin also includes the ‘W’ mintmark on the reverse.

But most importantly, the set also includes a unique 2006 P-Mint Reverse Proof coin. As implied by the name, this coin was minted at the Philadelphia Mint and the appearance of the design elements of the coin are opposite of a standard proof strike – the raised elements feature a mirror-like appearance while the background has a frosted effect.

Peace DollarsThe first and only U.S. coin to display the word “PEACE”, the Peace Dollar was introduced in 1921 as the successor to the popular Morgan Dollar series. The new design was created to commemorate the restoration of peace following the conclusion of World War I – “the war to end all wars”. A rendering of Liberty is on the obverse, while the reverse shows a bald eagle in front of sun rays. These were the last large silver dollars minted for circulation and production ceased after 1935.

a. Peace DollarsThe Peace Dollar was first minted in 1921 to commemorate the end of World War I and the peace that followed. It was the successor to the popular Morgan Dollar. Peace Dollars were last minted in 1935, and at the height of the Great Depression, millions of these coins were melted for their silver content. This is a rare chance to own 10 examples of the only coin to display the word “PEACE”.

c. Eisenhower DollarsIssued from 1971 – 1978 these coins were designed to honor both President Dwight D Eisenhower and the first landing of a man on the moon. The Eisenhower dollar was the last dollar coin to contain a proportional amount of base metal to lower denominations; it has the same amount of copper-nickel as two Kennedy half dollars, four Washington quarters, or ten Roosevelt dimes.

d. Susan B. Anthony DollarsMinted from 1979 to 1981, and again in 1999, Susan B’s depict women’s suffrage campaigner Susan B. Anthony. It was the first circulating U.S. coin with the portrait of an actual woman rather than an allegorical female figure such as ‘Liberty’. The reverse depicts an eagle flying above the moon (with the Earth in the background), a design adapted from the Apollo 11 mission insignia that was also present on the previously issued Eisenhower Dollar.

a. Barber Half DollarsThese coins were designed by Charles E. Barber, Chief Engraver at the U.S. Mint from 1879-1917 and minted from 1892-1915. Also known as Liberty Head Half Dollars, all Barber Coinage saw very heavy and long term use in daily commerce and consequentially, most surviving examples are heavily worn.

b. Liberty Walking Half DollarsOne of America’s most beautiful and most sought-after coins. Adolph Weinman’s “Liberty Walking” was issued from 1916-1947 and has been out of circulation for 60 years! The design features a full-length figure of Liberty, progressing in full stride toward the dawn of a new day, carrying branches of laurel and oak, symbolical of civil and military glory.

c. Franklin Half DollarsThis coin was the last half dollar minted in .900 pure silver during its entire run from 1948-1963. It’s the first circulating coin to feature a real person other than a U.S. President, and features Founding Father Benjamin Franklin on the obverse and the Liberty Bell on the reverse. This Franklin half dollar was short-lived and disappeared to make way for the 1964 Kennedy Half Dollar.

d. Kennedy Half DollarsThe Kennedy half dollar, first minted in 1964, is the only fifty cent coin issued by the United States Mint. Intended as a memorial to the assassinated President John F. Kennedy, it was authorized by Congress just over a month after his death. Despite the fact that these coins are still being struck, their circulation is extremely limited.

e. Standing Liberty QuartersThese coins were struck by the U.S. Mint from 1916 to 1930 in .900 silver. The original design of the coin was the subject of some controversy. The design was modified in 1917 to cover Liberty’s exposed breast, and the reverse received a new arrangement of the stars, with the eagle moved higher. In 1925 the design was altered again when a depression was made in the pedestal on which Liberty stands and that bears the date.

Collector Starter Sets

These 10-coin starter sets have proven to be one of our best sellers! and for good reason – they are a terrific, low-cost introduction to the basic keystone coins of collecting!

a. Barber DimesBarber or Liberty Head dimes were minted between 1892 and 1916 and are composed of .900 silver. They were designed by Charles E. Barber, Chief Engraver of the Mint, who also designed the twenty-five- and fifty-cent pieces. His initial B is at the end of the neck of the image of Liberty on the obverse. The dime featured a wreath of American agricultural products with the words “ONE DIME” in the center.

b. Mercury DimesAlthough this coin is commonly called the “Mercury” dime, it is in fact the Winged Liberty Head dime and the figure on the obverse is a representation of Liberty. These coins have not been produced in over 60 years, and are harder to find with each passing day! Minted between 1916 and 1945, the wings crowning her cap are intended to symbolize the liberty of thought.

c. Roosevelt DimesFollowing his death in 1945, the dime was chosen to honor Franklin D Roosevelt. The dime honored Roosevelt partly due to his efforts in the founding of the National Foundation for Infantile Paralysis (later renamed the March of Dimes) and through 1964 the dimes were struck in .900 silver.

d. Buffalo NickelsAlso known as the “Indian head” nickel, this coin is a copper nickel five cent piece struck by the U.S. Mint from 1913 to 1938. It was designed by sculptor James Earle Fraser. The image on the obverse of the coin is actually a composite of several Native Americans, and the bison on the reverse of the coin is rumored to have been modeled after Black Diamond, a resident of the Central Park Zoo in the early 1900’s.

Ten Coin Set . . . . . . . . 22465 | $12.95

e. Steel PenniesDuring WWII, the U.S. Government melted many coins for their use in the war effort. This temporarily changed the way coins were minted and in 1943, the penny was made out of steel rather than copper. Each of these “steelies” feature a profile of President Abraham Lincoln on the obverse, and the legendary “wheat ears” design on the reverse.
