DESCRIPTION
This house was designed for a client who moved from Chicago to Saint Louis. Webster Groves is a bedroom community on the outskirts of St. Louis that has seen an increase in teardowns in the past few years. However, there are also a number of vacant lots that have never been developed. These areas are generally in or near flood plains and are often oddly shaped. My client has purchased the first in a series of these so called “unbuildable” lots. He hopes to make a name for himself, offering unique properties with environmentally sustainable buildings that are affordable due to low land acquisition costs, prefabricated construction and compact sizes.
