Connecting eastern and western Kansas to strengthen the regional grid and expand transmission access for energy developers, further establishing a competitive energy market in the state.

• ~244 circuit miles of 345 kV lines

New line linking the existing Summit Substation southeast of Salina, Kansas to a new 345 kV substation southeast of Concordia, Kansas.

• ~60 miles of 345 kV line

• Construct, co-own with joint project development partner Mid-Kansas Electric Company, and operate the northern section of the line, ~30 miles

• Westar Energy constructed southern portion
