OIM is an enterprise identity management system that centrally administers user accounts and access privileges. It manages the entire user identity lifecycle to help your organization meet changing business and regulatory requirements and provides essential auditing, reporting, and compliance functionality. 2  Overview The OIM Connector for Contract Management   includes a resource directory with all user attributes and two files—a JAR file to communicate with CM and an XML file representing CM users and their properties. As an administrator, take advantage of the OIM connector to provision CM users. The OIM connector helps you administer the complete user identity life cycles of CM users. As a primary example, when you create a new user in OIM, it can also create a new user with the same user login name, password, email address, and personal name in the CM database. The core attributes and operations supported by the connector are listed below. 2 . 1  Attributes The following user attributes are managed:  Login Name  Email Address  First and Last Name 2 . 2  Operations The following operations are supported:  Create User: Add a new user in CM via OIM.  Modify User: Modify an attribute, for example, an e-mail address or personal name in CM via OIM.  Delete User: Remove a user in CM via OIM. Connecting Oracle® Primavera® Contract

Management™ to Oracle Identity Manager

1  Introduction

This document assists administrators in configuring Oracle Identity Manager  (OIM) for use with Oracle Primavera Contract Management (CM). OIM is an enterprise identity management system that centrally administersuser accounts and access privileges. 2  Overview

3  Installation and Configuration

Follow the steps below to begin using OIM with CM.

1.  Install Oracle Identity Manager (OIM). Refer to the following URL for documentation based on your operatingsystem and application server: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E14049_01/index.htm 

2.  Install Oracle Primavera Contract Management . Check that you have OIM andCM up and running beforemoving on to the next step.

3.  Download the Oracle Identity Manager Connector for Primavera Contract Management . Extract the ZIParchive. Then, manually copy the following files into the following directories:

4.  Save PrimaveraCMProv.xmlto a local volume.

5.  Launch a web browser and log in to the OIM Administrative and User Console. This GUI console provides self-service and administration features for common provisioning tasks.

Under the Deployment Management menu, choose Import.

7.  Browse to the location of the PrimaveraCMProv.xmlfile. This is the same file you saved in step 4.

8.  Enter CM configuration parameters.

9.  Click Manage under Resource Management. Verify the imported Primavera resource information is correct.
