Conference Introduction
With the rapid development of global science and technology and industry and
the upgrading of technology-enabled industries since the 21st century, cross-border
integration has become the normal state of industry development in the new era. The
Fourth Industrial Revolution will greatly change the mode of social production,
substantially increase labor productivity, promote the transformation of industrial
structure and labor structure and rewrite the process of human development. In fact,
the core of the Fourth Industrial Revolution lies in the development of technology.
Since reform and opening up 40 years ago, a large number of industrial
enterprises have developed and flourished in China. China has become the world’s
second largest economy, a global manufacturing power, a global exporter of products
and a global demand power for vacuum technology and industrial application.
As a cutting-edge vacuum technology in various fields, its industrial cluster is in
Guangdong, and the largest demand for Guangdong’s vacuum technology and
application cluster is in Shenzhen. At present, the application and development of
vacuum technology has become the driving force for the development of many
vertical fields.
Vacuum technology and industrial applications cover a number of high-end fields,
such as aeroengine, semiconductor, memory storage, firearms, iris face recognition,
electronic components, ocean, automobile, 3C and electronics, photovoltaic
photothermal thin film solar energy, medical devices, biomedical treatment, flexible
and panel display.
Vacuum technology and industrial application, as a kind of sunrise strategic
technology, involves the modern emerging processing technology with a wide range
and great economic benefits. It can enable the material surface engineering
modification to have a number of high-end functional thin film and decorative coating
technology applications, such as wear resistance, corrosion resistance, heat insulation,
heat resistance, conductivity, heat conduction, insulation, erosion resistance, oxidation
resistance, friction reduction, lubrication, radiation protection, superhydrophobicity,
super-hydrophilicity and optical thin film.
In the field of industrial product manufacturing, traditional electroless plating
process has been increasingly abandoned or reduced in the industry, which is now
replaced by vacuum technology. The vacuum technology is classified as green
environmental protection technology that deals with material engineering and surface
modification in the vacuum physical environment. The world is also strongly
advocating the preferential selection of such technology in industry. It has now
become a reality that most traditional surface treatment technologies have been
replaced by the vacuum technology. In high-end fields and daily life, the application
results of vacuum technology can be seen everywhere, and the pollution-free vacuum
technology has now been the most popular process choice in the world.
Shenzhen Association for Vacuum Technologies, as the most authoritative
association in China, shoulders the responsibility of promoting and leading the
structural transformation, upgrading and optimization of vacuum technology and
industrial application. Since establishment, it has always been vigorously promoting
vacuum technology and industrial application, building the industrial ecosphere and

and Applications(2018) , and continues to promote green industries, vacuum coating

Incorporated, PLATIT, SOLAYER GmbH, TONC GROUP, SHINCRON, the
Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics (LICP), Advanced Energy, PVT-Plasma und

home and abroad, as well as experts in research field are invited to share a report on
application, and the application report shall have depth and breadth, delivering a feast
