Entertaining visuals that represent the 'trip', as it were, may not fit into a narrative piece. Additionally, Jack's been producing less narrative songs as he's forayed into psychedelia; it might be too difficult to come up with and execute a solid narrative in the time given - my work at AS proved how laborious it can be to even co-ordinate more than one person, one of the benefits of working just with Jack as a solo artist.

It's very difficult to find capable actors for a narrative video which might lend itself too far from what I aim to focus on: Jack's image as an artist. Furthermore, I don't believe that it'd be too easy to animate as the flow of the narrative is dictated by the beat of the song and vice versa.

Back to the concept of animation. Stop motion has been used in a few notable music videos which I could perhaps emulate - Sledgehammer being perhaps one of the more famous - however I wish to analyse these videos separately to this post. The premise is that I include some stop motion of Jack performing and perhaps include him in some Flash animations, combining my Flash skills and stop motion. The clash between vibrant Flash animation and Jack's realistic image imposed into the animations would combine the Dada and Pop Art styles previously discussed.

Obviously, in focusing on Jack as an artist, most of the music video will be conventional in its focus on playing music. The performance piece can be combined with the more conceptual videos which I aim to create during the animations; an issue could be that the performance and visuals are too abstract, meaning that the video could be too jarring to the viewer, plus I may struggle to get a range of camera movement/angles if relying solely on my animation capabilities.

I've considered potentially including a scene, before the music comes in, of Jack smoking. He's 18 and therefore allowed to smoke however I'd perhaps have him hand roll it as to achieve a 'joint' look; this would provide time to work in a range of shots and camera movements but also help frame the video without being an entire narrative video - as the joint causes the visuals and animation as Jack is on a 'trip' within the video.

This might be best achieved with a close up zoom transition to show Jack's pupil dilating and leading into the animation part of the music video, as to best represent the idea of the visuals occurring within Jack's mind.
