1.1 INTRODUTION This assignment is to analyze the computer component in the editorial department that

they use in collecting news, selecting news , editing news and as well as interpreting the

news, of Talk time which is a newspaper company which will trend to improvement

hardware and software application, also with significant support into techniques that will

hence technology. However, to explain the current mobile computers that can be used

in order to improve their day to day activities or to improve their capability in terms of

design methodology which can hence there production. This system can develop Talk

Time production in short period of time and generate all the necessary solution to solve

the entire digital track design problem.

The assignment recommends identifying the entire existing trend that occurs in the

computer environment or computer usage in the organization. Also the organization

need analyze on the architecture and brief explanation on the differences between

them.

As a system analyst the organization need excellent analysis with good proposal in

order to develop Talk time productivity by proposing excellent network infrastructure

with clear view difference with the old network system that is use currently. However,

talk time need proposal for new hardware and software operation system that can be

used for the proposed system. Also functional and the non-functional system are require

for the new proposal. Talk time as an organization want to know the cost of

implementation, technical capability, feasibility and schedule constrain of the proposal.

1.2 PURPOSE AND CHARACTERISTICS OF KEY COMPUTER COMPONENTS IN THE EDITORIAL DEPARTMENT.

The editorial department of Newspaper Company is the heart of Newspaper Company,

which responsible for publishing of news and making editing of the news by using

computing device in carryout their activities. The department has many staffs and each

has his own responsibility. The staffs are typewriters who are responsible for type in the

department. The editors are responsible for editing the collecting news and the

department is control by the chief executive editor. The editor is assisted by lead

writers, columnists, cartoonists, photographers, reference librarians and others to bring

out the publication in a correct manner. The entire editorial use the entire computer

component in carryout their activities.

Computer component: computer can be describe as an electronic device that consists

of circuit that gives permission to data manipulation in binary format. And computer is

divided into two component which are hardware and software component. The

hardware component are device user for storing and processing data, while software

component are those set of program that process data or an information. Example of

hardware component basically there are five major hardware component of computer

which are as follows.

1.2.4 STORAGE DEVICES: This device orders to process information, in order to

has transmission facilities, software and communication protocol which is capable of

collecting of computer component and data and infrastructure (wire OR wireless)

2.2 CLIENT SERVER:Client-server this are set of computers that share network resources which act as a

server to each other over the network. In this system the computers operate

independently to the server in all the aspect. Client server architecture software

architecture can be said as the versatile and flexible in nowadays fast-changing IT

landscape. It can be said as modular in structure and relies on messaging services for

communication between components. This software were constructed or design to

enhance flexibility, usability, scalability, and interoperability. Software flexibility implies

system requirements. However, client–server architecture allows the roles and duties of

2.3 Desktop: this is standalone system that represents desktop software application

that run single computer system whereby the computer stand as the server system and

and primarily connection with local area network. Client can share idea or pass set of

information by the central cable which is regarded as the backbone of the network

system. This is the reason where only one transmitter can work at a time .However, the

suggested, bus topology is the best topology that can overcome the problem of Talk

Time Company.

Look at editorial department with five computers systems and a set of printer, scanner

connected in the bus topology network system and the administration department with

four set of computers using one printer and scanner device connected in the bus

topology. The accounting department with two set of computer printer and scanner

connected in the same line with storing department which has two set of computer and

one set of printer and scanner. The printing department is connected with two set of

computers and three printers and one scanner. The advertisement department and

circulation department in which the advertisement department has two set of computers

and printer and scanner , while the circulation department has two set of computers

than ring and the star has less correspondence than ring.

Bus topology it is more easier to troubleshoot than ring and lesser than star

topology

In terms of problem case by cable connection or nodes inefficiency case by

network. When bus topology experience failure when the cable of the bus is
