Summary of Experience at Prestige MidwestTorin Byrnes of the Finance groups says, “During the JA program, I was surprised at how quickly

we sold the cubes. In the one hour that I sold them, we sold 30 cubes. It wasn’t even rush hour!”

Also , others said that they learned that communication was key when running a business. Torin

also said, “I was surprised at the amount of money that we earned, it was over 100% of our goal,”

Nick Seidman of the Management groups says, “That was very surprising for us to get that many

investors”.

Financial

Many checks and good selling helped Prestige Midwest exceed their goal. On the first selling

day at the Kenosha Harbor Market, we sold out of cubes. On the second selling date, we sold out

again before noon. In all, Prestige Midwest raised $1,739.00. We are returning $1,111, or $11

per investor, back to the investors and paying KTEC $140 in production fees which leaves us

with $489. All of the net profits will be donated to the Shalom Center.

Process of Designing the T-Cube

During the first few days of JA, we worked on understanding how a company works and what

groups of the company we would be in. We named our company and brainstormed ideas for the product.

By the following week we had a few solid ideas for our product. We decided to create a fidget toy. After

many ideas and sketches, we had two final ideas - a customizable fidget spinner and a fidget cube. We did

not know how we would price it yet but after we had started getting materials, we decided to make only

the fidget cube. We made our first copy to see the size and see if we liked it. We found that it was way

too big because it was 3x3, and it was also too sharp on the edges. We made it smaller so it was 1x1 (it

still had sharp sides). Then we rounded the edges and we had our final design. We started with the colors

blue, white, and gold. We then started selling orange cubes as well. Our first sale was at the Harbor

Market. We sold out! We had a second sale at the Harbor Market and sold out again! So, over all, our

sales and our business was pretty successful. We learned many lessons throughout the course of the

company, like how to play your part in the company and how to persuade people.
