Our History

sia Corrosion Services, Inc. (ACSI) was incorporated in

August 1983 by Rolando R. Ortañez, the first field engineer and

former Vice-President Operations of Asiatic Corrosion Control

Co., Inc. (ACCCO). But, it was only in September 1985 when the

company started its operations. In the first job contract, Mr.

Ortañez worked together with his promising colleague at ACCCO

Mr. Walter B. Samsaman.

ACSI is more than 20 years in operation and has gained

extensive experience in Non-Destructive Testing, Industrial

Inspection Services and Cathodic Protection System.

Because of dependability on and quality of jobs, the

services of ACSI had been tapped by no less than the

major petroleum companies, power utility and industrial

firms in the country. It has rendered services to the

following companies: Shell Refinery, Caltex (Phils.) Inc.,

Petron Corporation, PNOC-Energy Development

Corporation, National Power Corporation, Philippine

Petroleum, Corporation, Bataan Refinery, Sembawang,

and Procter & Gamble Corporation. ACSI is the sub-

contractor in Non-Destructive Examination Services of

Fluor Daniels Pacific, the Project Manager of Shell

Refinery during the expansion of its plant in Batangas.

Another milestone in our experience is when we did the

NDT works for Sembawang (Philippines) Inc. during the

construction of the First Gas Power Corporation Sta. Rita

1000MW CCPS Project.

The people behind ACSI promise to live up to its name as CORROSION and INSPECTION

SPECIALIST. It is determined to grow up as a reputable company, if not a giant in the field of

corrosion and industrial inspection industry. It intends to serve the oil and gas, petrochemical, refining,

and co-generation industries with utmost efficiency and reliability.

Cathodic Protection with Galvanic Anodes

It is purposely establishing a dissimilar metal cell strong enough to counteract corrosion sells on the structure.

It is accomplished by connecting a very active metal that will corrode and will

discharge current to the structure.

Cathodic Protection with Impressed Current

It is a CP system which has a Rectifier that provides sufficient direct current to protect the entire surface of the structure.

The current and voltage output of the Transformer Rectifier are variable to provide efficient protection of the structure.
