Information Sheet Public Toilet at Valley View Reserve

We are inviting the community to have their say about the proposal of establishing a single unisex public toilet with disability access at Valley View Reserve.

Close date for feedback is 5pm, Tuesday 27 September 2016.

Background

Council is seeking feedback from the community on the proposal to install a single unisex public toilet with disability access at Valley View Reserve, Valley View. Based on information gathered, Council is proposing the public toilet be placed in the north/eastern corner

of the Valley View Reserve, adjacent to the Dry Creek walking path. A map showing the proposed location

of the public toilet is on the reverse side of this information sheet.

This location is deemed most appropriate based on extensive investigations of the services required to facilitate a public toilet at this location. In addition early feedback was received via a petition from some local residents who were supportive of the public toilet being located in this section of the reserve.

Other information for consideration:

• The toilet will be open in daylight hours and will be regularly cleaned/restocked

• Funding for the project has been allocated in the 2016/2017 budget

• Should the public toilet be approved by Council, the Community Land Management Plan for Valley View

Reserve will be amended to reflect the addition of a public toilet
