The purchase of the collegiate buildings of the neighbouring Grade-II listed Wesley House, provided the opportunity to create a new court within Jesus College’s historical footprint.

The College commissioned Niall McLaughlin Architects to sensitively refurbish and reconfigure the buildings to provide additional facilities and a landscaped court at the heart of the site.

West Court greatly enhances what Jesus College can offer for conference groups and private events. It creates a home for academic symposia, conferences, lectures and debate, as well as providing a beautiful dining room along with a café bar and pavilion with adjoining terraces, and a private events space. The multi-functional lecture hall is equipped with the latest communications technology seating up to 160 delegates. There is also luxury hotel standard bedrooms which are available all year round.

Jesus College offers a fantastic range of conference and dining facilities. Outside term time delegates using the lecture hall are able to dine in the magnificent College Hall and Upper Hall which combined seats 220 delegates. There are also 250 en-suite bedrooms in Library, North and Chapel Court, all of which have been awarded the Quality in Tourism 5 star accreditation by Visit England, for the fourth year running.

“We are very excited by the opportunities the West Court development presents in terms of the new facilities that we can offer. We are delighted with the end results!”
