Designed for the production of torsion springs and extended loop springs, the WAFIOS FMU range opens up a host of new options for the spring industry.
The tool carriers can be freely moved in different dimen-sions to unlock completely new design concepts for theproduction of parts, including simple or even highly com-plicated torsion springs and bent parts, double torsionsprings with inner or outer spring bodies and extendedloop springs even with tight coiling ratios.
The machines are characterized by quick tool change andsetup times thanks to the speed and ease with which theparts can be changed and the corresponding tool settingscan be adjusted.
Additional equipment like laser sensors and optical mea-suring systems for quality assurance and production mo-nitoring can also be integrated.
It is also possible to upgrade to multiple-station bendingsystems, pick-and-place transport systems and the WAFIOS Teleservice for remote software support and dia-gnostic support.
