Brief Summary: Tall CLT Workshop at Seattle, WA. Jan 24 th 2014 The Tall CLT building workshop was sponsored by the NSF NEES program through the NEES Planning grant in order to identify the societal needs and engineering challenges for Tall CLT construction in seismic active regions of the U.S., especially the Pacific Northwest. The purpose of this document is to provide a brief report on the event and share the contact information for all participants who provided their information on the sign-in sheets. A total of 62 Participants from local government and planning, design engineering and architect offices, timber industry, and higher education institutions participated in the workshop discussion. The names, affiliations, and emails of all participants can be found in Table 1. The project team will summarize the discussion results and draft a Tall CLT construction challenges white paper document for further comments by the wider community, and conduct the rest of the planning research work accordingly. Brief Summary: Tall CLT Workshop at Seattle, WA. Jan 24th 2014

The Tall CLT building workshop was sponsored by the NSF NEES program through the NEES Planning

grant in order to identify the societal needs and engineering challenges for Tall CLT construction in

seismic active regions of the U.S., especially the Pacific Northwest. The purpose of this document is to

provide a brief report on the event and share the contact information for all participants who provided

their information on the sign-in sheets.

A total of 62 Participants from local government and planning, design engineering and architect offices,

timber industry, and higher education institutions participated in the workshop discussion. The names,

affiliations, and emails of all participants can be found in Table 1.

The project team will summarize the discussion results and draft a Tall CLT construction challenges

white paper document for further comments by the wider community, and conduct the rest of the

planning research work accordingly.
