INTRODUCTION

WHAT IS CLOUD COMPUTING ?

Cloud computing is a type of computing that relies on sharing computing resources rather than having local servers or personal Devices to handle application.

In cloud computing, the word cloud is used as a metaphor for "the Internet," so the phrase cloud computing means "a type of Internet-based computing," where different services -- such as servers, storage and applications -- are delivered to an organization's computers and devices through the Internet

The cloud is itself a virtualisation of resources such as networks, servers, applications, data storage and services.

It can provide the user with many applications and services on demand via the web

CONCEPT OF CLOUDE COMPUTING

• It is the result of evolution

and adoption of existing

technologies and paradigms.

• Goals of cloud computing

• Virtualization

• Autonomic computing

Failure Cases

• Simulation parameters• Average bounded slowdown and average per-processor slowdown• Average waiting time & average weighted waiting time• Network Error• Computational Error• Power Failure• Queue Overflow

Feedback and Update

• When we get feedback from server that a particular activity is completed then we can schedule its dependent activity from waiting queue to its destination server.

• After that each resource table and universal resource table gets updated.

Cloud Computing Challenges

• Cloud computing presents enterprises with significant cost and agility benefits that IT will struggle to leverage due to security and control constraints

• If IT doesn’t provide business units with easy access to inexpensive cloud services, they will engage with external providers themselves, bypassing IT policy and control

Conclusion

• Cloud computing is a really cheap way for companies to have all the resources they need in once place.

• It’s a much better way to spread your resources, and it becomes easier to access things from longer distances.

But…• Is cloud computing really all that safe? For instance,

while cloud computing has backups, if something was to go wrong… do you have your own personal backup?

• Is cloud computing as private as you think it is? Is your data secure or can anyone access it?
