(CDHA.NET) is an all-volunteer, no-kill animal rescue group that has been saving animals of all kinds throughout the capital region and beyond since 1988. Our goal is to place each animal in our program in a wonderful home where it will be treated like a valued member of the family. We re-home dogs with no charge for surrender. Since CDHA is a rescue group and doesn’t have a facility of its own, all its dogs are in foster homes and dogs are showcased at pet adoption clinics held three times each month.

THE JOYFUL NOISE, “WE ARE ONE”

CAPITAL DISTRICT – The Joyful Noise was a con-temporary Christian music ministry well known in the Capital District region and beyond, during the years of 1969-1993. The Joyful Noise was a large group of young people, led spiritu-ally and musically by Mr. Bill Womer. The Joyful Noise was the core of what would later evolve into “Christian Mu-sic Ministries”. The positive side of social media, as well as the unfortunate passing of key members, has stirred interest in a reunion of The Joyful Noise, with the rec-ognition, that still, “We are One”. A reunion is planned for October 10, 2015 focused on reuniting and catching up. The reunion will culminate with a barbeque dinner and an evening Praise and Worship service at Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Many of the songs spanning three decades when young lives were forever impacted by this experience will be sung together again. We will also be including all the parents and family members in the Satur-day night service who supported each of us during our “JN” years. During these early planning stages we are interested in help locating former members, and identifying folks to assist on various committees that have been formed. Please visit the Facebook page for Christian Music Ministries if you are a former member and want to connect, or contact us at [email protected]

Angus is a beautiful black and white pitbull. He’s a bit on the chunky side and when you meet him, you’ll see where his name comes from. He’s a happy boy

who loves to go for a walk, throw his toys around the kennel, and snuggle with his friends. His tail is always wagging, and though he loves to be pet anywhere, a good butt scratch is his absolute favorite thing in life! He is receiving baths for a skin condition, but he is great in the tub and smothers you with kisses as you

bathe him. Come meet Angus at MHHS and see if this fabulous guy could be the newest addition to your family!

I’m a lovely, sweet girl dream girl. Always ready to meet new friends, play and go for a stroll then a cuddle! Sound good? Then I’m the one for you!

Baldacci has been an in-ternational best seller since his fi rst novel, Absolute Power fa-miliar to many as a Clint Eastwood movie. Books are available

at the library and additional info is available at www.Co-hoesPublicLibrary.org.

NOVENAI THANK YOU LORD WITH all my heart in the presence of angels to you I sing, I bow low towards your holy temple, I praise your name for your mercy and faithfulness, for you have exhalted over all your name and your promise. On the day I cried out, you answered and strengthened my spirit. Dear Lord thank you for hearing and answer- ing my prayer. Thank you St. Jude and St.Rita for interced- ing on my behalf. I will en- courage devotion to you al- ways.

PRAYER TO THEBLESSED VIRGIN

(Never known to fail)Oh, most beautiful flower of Mt. Carmel, fruitful vine splendor of Heaven. Blessed Mother of the Son of God. Immaculate Virgin, assist me in my necessity. Oh, Star of the Sea, help me and show me, herein you are my mother. Oh, Holy Mary, Mother of God, Queen of Heaven and Earth! I humbly beseech you from the bottom of my heart to answer me in this necessity. There are none that can withstand your power. Oh, show me herein you are my mother. Oh, Mary con- ceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee (3x). Holy Mother, I place this cause in your hands (3x). Sweet Mother, I place this cause in your hands (3x). Holy Spirit, you who solve all problems, light all roads so that I can attain my goal, you who gave me the divine gift to forgive and forget all evil against me and that in all instances in my life you are with me. I want in this short prayer to thank you for all things as you confirm once again that I never want to be separated from you in eternal glory. Thank you for your mercy towards me and mine. The person must say this prayer 3 consecutive days, after 3 days the request will be granted. This prayer must be published after the favor is granted. R.M.R.

REMEMBER ALMOSTGRACIOUS Virgin Mary that never was it known that any- one who fled to thy protection employed thy help or sought thine intercession, was left unaided. Inspired by this con- fidence, I fly unto thee. Oh Virgins of Virgins my Mother, to thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sor- rowful, oh Mother of the word incarnate, despise not my pe- titions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me. Thank you Blessed Mother Mary, for prayers answered, and inter- ceding on my behalf with your beloved Son, our Lord Jesus.

BACKPACKS OF HOPE TO SUPPORT VICTIMS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

CLIFTON PARK – Members of The Chamber of Southern Sara-toga County’s Women In Business Committee are reaching out to the community for help with their charitable initia-tive, Backpacks of Hope, which supports mothers and their children utilizing the services of Domestic Violence and Rape Crisis Services of Saratoga County (DVRC). Backpacks of Hope is part of the Committee’s Baskets of Hope initiative, which has been providing women entering the Saratoga County Domestic Violence Shelter with baskets of personal care items. The backpacks and school supplies meet the needs of the children who are also affected by domestic violence. The Women in Business Committee seeks donations of back-to-school supplies such as backpacks, notebooks, binders, pens, pencils, crayons, markers, glue sticks, etc. Donations of personal care items such as soap, shampoo, toothpaste and other toiletries are also welcomed year round. Anyone who wishes to participate in this worthy program can do so by bringing donations to The Chamber of Southern Saratoga County, located at 15 Park Avenue in Clifton Park (behind Shoppers World Plaza). Questions about the program should be directed to Liz Roggenbuck at 371-7748 x108.

4 SURPRISING TIPS YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE BUYING OR SELLING A HOUSE

(NewsUSA) - Insider tips -- who doesn't love a good (le-gal) one?

And when it comes to buying or selling a house, it turns out some of the very best -- ones that can trans-late into big bucks -- are those maybe only someone with Brian Williams' imagina-tion would think of.

Want to know why, for example, Starbucks may be the greatest predictor of home-value appreciation? Read on.

* March is the most profit-able month. For sellers, that is. According to Spencer Rascoff, CEO of Zillow.com, who mined his site's data-base of millions of homes in co-authoring the newly released "Zillow Talk: The New Rules of Real Estate," properties listed then sold faster and fetched 2 percent higher than average.

Buyers, on the other hand, catch a break in De-cember when even New York owners are apparently so demoralized by the cold that they're willing to part with their homes for 2.8 per-cent less during the second week of the month.

"You shouldn't list your house for sale before March Madness or after the Masters (in April)," says Rascoff.

* Your real estate agent's gender matters. Women, be-

cause they're "more willing to negotiate," tend to close deals faster, research sug-gests. But sellers take note: If you can hold out, men -- stubborn devils that they are -- are often better at getting the original asking price.

* A new roof is a sure-fire way to boost a home's resale value. Forget kitchen re-modeling. "You could spend a fortune, and it still might not suit prospective buy-ers' tastes," explains Patsy O'Neill, a sales associate with Sotheby's in Montclair, New Jersey.

Replacing an unsightly roof with a spiffy new one -- better for that all-important "curb appeal" -- was one of the very few projects singled out in Remodeling maga-zine's new annual Cost vs. Value Report for 2015, rising a chart-topping 5.9 percent over even last year's double-digit increase.

In fact, says O'Neill -- and, sellers, pay close attention to the psychology here -- if your current roof really is an eyesore, buyers will be "pre-disposed" to find a zillion other things they hate about your place. Ergo, those crav-ing the look of luxury at af-fordable prices should check out the Value Collection Life-time Designer Shingles from GAF (www.gaf.com), North America's largest roofing manufacture.

* The Starbucks Effect. Don't laugh. When Rascoff was checking his data, he discovered that, lo and be-hold, homes within a quarter

mile of a Starbucks had ap-preciated 31 percent more -; 96 percent vs. 65 percent -; over the last 17 years than others nationwide.

"Is it that Starbucks is really great at picking loca-tions, or is that Starbucks is sort of an omen of gentrifi-cation?" he writes. "It's a little of each."

JOB HUNTING TIPS FOR YOUNG WOMEN

Young women preparing to enter the workforce may dis-cover a job market that’s dif-ficult to crack. Getting a foot in the door in your desired field is not always easy, but young women looking to land that first job out of col-lege can consider the follow-ing tips to help them take that all-important first step toward a rewarding career.

• Decide on a path. Blindly searching for work or any old job is a recipe for an aimless search that likely won’t land you a job you enjoy. Choose what it is that you want to do and who you hope to do it for, and then you can proceed with a more refined search that does not include you spending time pursuing positions you don’t want.

• Don’t be afraid to seek ad-

vice. Once you determine some companies you may want to work for, don’t be afraid to seek advice from people who already work for those companies. Even if such businesses don’t have any current openings, you might be able to schedule informational meetings. Treat such meetings like you would a job interview, ask-ing questions about the in-dustry and what you can do to get your foot in the door. Once such meetings have concluded, send a hand-written thank-you note to the person who took time out of their day to give you the informational meeting.

• Learn from each job in-terview. Many people, es-pecially young people just starting out, go through many job interviews before

finally landing a job. Each in-terview is not just an oppor-tunity to land a job or hone your interviewing skills, but also a chance to learn what employers are looking for. Many interviews for entry-level jobs are similar regard-less of the industry, so make note of your responses that went over well and those that might need a little more work.

• Be prepared to explain why you should be hired. Job seekers should be able to ex-plain both their enthusiasm for the job and why they are right for that job. Keep your description of your capa-bilities concise, but don’t be afraid to confidently state why you are the best pos-sible candidate.

• Look for volunteering op-portunities. After you have

targeted a field you want to work in, you may find that there are few paying oppor-tunities within that field. But you might be able to volun-teer or even pursue an in-ternship if you only recently graduated from college. Vol-unteering or accepting an unpaid internship is a great way to start making some contacts and gaining some legitimate experience, and working for free might just indicate to prospective em-ployers that you are serious about pursuing a particular career and not just landing a job.

Young women may be met with a difficult job market upon graduating from col-lege. But there are ways to make job hunts easier and land the job of your dreams.

LURING GRADS WITH TECHNOLOGY, SAFETY

AND SAVINGS (NAPS)—The period just af-ter graduation can be an ex-citing time for recent grads: first job, first apartment off campus and, for many, their first new car—often with an assist from Mom and Dad.

To appeal to these eager drivers and their parents, car companies are finding they have to offer vehicles that integrate timely technology to impress the graduates, safety to impress Mom and

Dad, and savings to impress them both.

For example, the 2015 Chrys-ler 200’s high-tech amenities include a full-color driver information display cluster that allows drivers to receive information and vehicle feedback in the format they prefer—all while keeping their hands on the wheel and eyes on the road.

The information that can be displayed includes speed, turn-by-turn navigation, re-al-time fuel economy, safety warnings, and safety and se-curity functions such as the ParkSense Parallel/Perpen-dicular Park Assist feature, audio information and trip details.

A power supply and media center located in the center console under the sliding cup holders provides maxi-

mum user convenience, in-cluding an available 115-volt outlet.

Safety And Security

When it comes to safety and security, the car integrates 60 safety features, including one called SafeHold, which secures the vehicle if the driver opens the door and unlatches the seat belt while forward or reverse gears are still engaged.

It also has eight standard air bags, all-speed traction control, brake assist, brake/throttle override, electronic stability control, electronic

roll mitigation, four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes, ener-gy-absorbing steering col-umn, Enhanced Accident Response System (EARS), Keyless Enter ’n Go, LATCH child seat anchors, brake/park interlock, a body con-structed of 60 percent high-strength steel and more.

It even has a feature called Full-speed Forward Colli-sion Warning-Plus. A Chrys-

ler Group first, this provides autonomous braking that can slow the vehicle or, at low speeds, bring it to a stop when a frontal collision ap-pears imminent.

Savings

Fuel economy is also key with the Chrysler 200. It of-fers a Segment-first stan-dard nine-speed automatic transmission, innovative

all-wheel-drive system and choice of two engine op-tions.

It is the first midsize sedan to feature an all-wheel-drive system with complete rear-axle disconnect, which reduces energy loss to im-prove fuel efficiency.
