Project Easter Bunny Needs Your HelpCAPITAL REGION – Floydwarriors.com “Helping Families Cope With Cancer, One Household at a Time” is very pleased to announce its 3rd annual run of Project Easter Bunny. This Capital District wide effort was begun by fl oydwarriors.com founder Lisa Morahan after experiencing Easter Sunday in 2009 too ill to make one basket up for her son while in the midst of chemotherapy treatment. In 2010 enough toys and candy were collected to make up 100 baskets and in 2011, 135 baskets were made. Several area cancer organizations and hos-pitals caring for cancer patients will receive this year’s bounty so parents and grandparents enduring treatment will have a nice big basket to give their children Easter morning. If you are interested in helping this effort please bring unopened candy and brand new small toys to donate to the following locations until March 26: The CR Wood Center in Glens Falls Hospital, G. “Empties for Animals" Campaign To Run All Year!Goldstein Auto Group

Helping Mohawk Hudson Humane Society ALBANY, NY (02/29/2012)- What started out to be a Super bowl campaign to benefi t The Mohawk Hud-son Humane Society has snowballed into a year round program for The Goldstein Family Auto Group, Thanks to the hundreds of donations of cans and bottles The Goldstein Family Auto Group has received from the community, coupled with the MHHS 125th Anniversary, Goldstein Auto is committed to continuing their part of the campaign year round. Since coming on board, The Goldstein Fam-ily Auto Group has set up depositories in each of their four dealerships to help collect cans and bottles from patrons, staff , and families, wanting to help the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society in Menands, New York. The cans and bottles turn into dollars for the organization to help care for and place the animals they have at the shelter. "Our Goal for the 125 Anniversary is to encourage the

community to help collect 1,562,500 which would translate into $125,000 to MHHS. " said Stefanie Goldstein, a principal in the Goldstein Family Auto Group and daughter of President Alan Goldstein. "This is only 637,500 more bottles and cans than last year. If everyone continues the momentum we have had already, we can do it!" Last year the Society's "Empties for Animals" program generated over $74,000 in revenue. Individual members of the community, school groups and other organizations dropped off more than 925,000 cans and bottles. Volunteers sorted all those bottles and cans based upon the originating distributor, which in turn generated 8 cents per can/bottle instead of the regular 5-cent redemption fee paid at stores. Monies from the programs were used to benefi t the more than 6,500 animals cared for by the Soci-ety in 2011. "As an added incentive The Goldstein Family has commissioned our trucks and driv-ers to make pick ups from around their area neighborhoods, restaurants, schools, event destinations, anywhere they need us to" added Stefanie. "If everyone who does not save their recyclables currently starts saving them, we can make a huge diff er-ence." With Earth Day just a few months away, weekly totals received at all Goldstein Auto locations will increase as the group does plan to participate in "A Billion Acts of Green" one of the Earth Day organizations April programs. They are using the power of their advertising, website, facebook page and show rooms to spread the word to recycle and help save abandon, elderly and abused animals rescued and cared for by The Mohawk Hudson Humane Society.People can drop off their cans and bottles to any of the four Goldstein locations:
