They found that those activities help them to improve their communication skills. Engineering Mathematics – II Staff: Prof. M.Kavitha The students found that no problem in the explanation of sums and the methodology of teaching. The students requested the faculty not to rush up the portions and to teach them along their pace. Engineering Physics – II Staff: Prof. K.Ravi Kumar Theory/ Laboratory The students said that the classes were very effective. They told that the faculty rectified the problems which was said in the last committee meet, so that they were more comfortable

Technical English II

Staff: Prof. Revathy.MThe students felt happy about the activities like Article Reading, Conversing the dialogue and extempore speech which were conducted in the class. They found that those activities help them to improve their communication skills. Engineering Mathematics II

Staff: Prof. M.KavithaThe students found that no problem in the explanation of sums and the methodology of teaching. The students requested the faculty not to rush up the portions and to teach them along their pace. Engineering Physics II Staff: Prof. K.Ravi Kumar Theory/ Laboratory The students said that the classes were very effective. They told that the faculty rectified the problems which was said in the last committee meet, so that they were more comfortable

in this class than before. They were very much satisfied with the laboratory classes.Engineering Chemistry II

Theory / LaboratoryThe students found that the faculty was perfect in his teaching, but they felt unpleasant for their performance for first semester. They felt bad that they failed to do their duty and lost the facultys faith on them. They promised to the faculty that they will do their best in the upcoming semester. They also felt comfortable with the lab classes.

Theory The students were able to understand the subject clearly. They requested the faculty to use bilingual method of teaching while explaining. The students pleaded the faculty to give pause in between the class to avoid boredom.Circuit Theory Staff: Prof. P.Prabhu

Theory / LaboratoryThe students said that the guidance of the faculty helps them to understand the subject well.

They felt difficult to go through the subject without the text book. The faculty replied that necessary arrangements will be made.Circuit & Devices Laboratory Staff: Prof. L.Gowri Shankar

The students were contented with the explanation of the laboratory experiments.General discussionsDean felt unhappy with the overall class performance in the first semester as well as first unit test of second semester. He explained about the importance of Internal Assessment Marks which carries 20% of marks to university results. He emphasized that the absenteeism should be avoided for the tests and retest for the absentees will not be conducted. He advised the students to do smart work and encouraged them to involve themselves in all other activities.Class Advisor

Technical English I

The students said that the grammar exercise which was done in the class was very useful. They requested the faculty to conduct more activities on Speaking & Listening. In reply, the faculty responded to the students that after the completion of portions, activities may be concentrated.Engineering Mathematics I

The students were able to understand the subject well. They felt that the repeated revision on

the particular topic which was done by the faculty was very helpful for them to do the exam easily. They requested the faculty to conduct more revision classes.

Engineering Physics I Staff: Asst. Prof. K.Ravi Kumar Theory/ Laboratory

The students found that the theory was very easy to understand when compared to the

lab class, whereas they felt that they need more lab classes than theory sessions. They could observe the derivations easily.

Engineering Chemistry I

Theory / LaboratoryThe students said that the classes were very effective and they were satisfied with the notes given by the faculty. They also felt comfortable in the lab classes.

Engineering Graphics

Theory / LaboratoryThe students said that the subject was very interesting. The portions are on the verge of completion. They told that the faculty had given many tips to adapt the method to draw easily. Laboratory classes were also found to be interesting. Computer Programming Staff: Asst.Prof. N.Dhanalakshmi

Theory / LaboratoryThe students said that the faculty guidance was very effective and more convenient for them to understand the subject. The students were contented with the explanation of the laboratory experiments

General discussionsDean advised the students to put an effort to score good marks in all subjects. He emphasized the importance of Model exam which is scheduled from December 2, 2013. He explained to the students those who got below 60% in all subjects, that they still have vast opportunity to retrieve their place in estimable position. He also informed that more revision classes will be arranged in all subjects for the improvement of students performance.Class Advisor
