Some cite-checking tips: e.g. = for example; i.e. = in other words; No longer need to write “(internal quotation marks omitted),” per Bluebook 20th edition rule 5.2(d)(i); No longer need to write “available at” for cites to internet sources, per Bluebook 20th edition rule 18; No need to write “(emphasis in original)” – it’s assumed that emphasis is in original if you do not write “(emphasis added).”
