Thank you for purchasing our Aluminum Circular Gate Valve (DN100).This manual has contents of how to maintain the blade and the actuator for correct and safe using.Prior to using the product, please read the manual.

■ Packaging

The product is shipped and delivered in a sealed bag packed carefully in an outer carton.Please contact Kurt J. Lesker Company when damage or contamination is found at opening the packaging.

■ Warranty

Warranty period is one year after invoice date.Damage and malfunction under safe delivery and correct using will be warranty repaired with no

service charges.However, be reminded that the following cases may cost you service charges even if within the

warranty period.

1) Damage or malfunction due to natural disaster.2) Damage or malfunction due to un-safe move and/or carless using after first mounting.3) Damage or malfunction due to using under spec un-kept circumstances.4) Damage or malfunction due to repair and modification not by manufacturer.

■When requesting for repair

When malfunction happens, please stop using the product immediately and read “Trouble Shooting”(page 14); and when repair needs, let us know model number, serial number, issue point.

1. Cautions

1) Alcohol clean the product prior to mounting for foreign particles not to get inside the valve.(Notice) Clean-room cleaning and packaging is performed when shipping.

2) Air tube connecting and electrical connecting are required after mounting the product tovacuum system.(Caution) Accident may happen due to malfunction and careless handling.

3) Never put hand on or in the product while operating.(Hazard) Squeeze and cut accident may happen.(Hazard) Electrical shock accident may happen.

2. Mounting side to vacuum system


1) Don’t forget to insert a centering on the groove before bolting flanges.(see above)(Caution) Be careful of seal surface not to be scratched or damaged.

1) Recommended air pressure is 0.5 MPa (0.45 ~ 0.6 Mpa).

2) Recommended air tube diameter is Ø4.

■ Maintenance and Repairs

1. Preparing parts and tools

This product does not need to maintain for the spec guaranteed period under the cleancircumstances, however, you may need to maintain or repair the product within the period depending onthe user’s circumstances.(Caution) If you want to maintain or repair the product on your own, please do it under the clean space

to prevent particulate from coming inside. And be sure of well understanding all the instructions relatedto mounting, operating and handling for your safety. Do safely.

1.2 Pre-work

1) Have chamber vented, and valve in open.

2) Disconnect compressed air connection and sensing connection

from the valve.3) Remove M6x55 Wrench Bolt, M6 Spring Washer and then

disconnect the “Top Housing “from the “Bottom Housing”.

2.1 Housing Cleaning

1) Clean the top housing with D.I water. (Depending on the cleanness of the valve, ethanol may use. Cleaning method may vary.)

2) Clean the “Bottom housing “ in the same way

2.2 Housing O-Ring Replacement1) Remove the O-ring from the “Bottom housing “with using O-ring pick tool.2) Before replacing the new O-ring, clean the O-ring groove and an O-Ring AS568A-242 and

insert the O-ring carefully.3) After finishing all above, assemble the “Top housing” and the “Bottom housing”. (doing the

Pre-work” in a reverse way.)

3. Gate (Blade) Cleaning and O-Ring Replacement

3.1 Gate Cleaning

1) Make the “Blade” up by using compressed air or physical force after disconnecting the “Top housing “from the “Bottom housing”. (doing “Pre-work”)

(Hazard) Amputation or squeezing accident may happen. Be careful of hands.

2) Clean the “Blade” with D.I (De-ionized) Water.(Depending on the cleanness of the valve, ethanol may use. Cleaning method may vary.)

3.2 Gate O-Ring Replacement

1) Remove the old O-ring from the blade with O-ring pick tool.2) Before replacing the new O-ring, clean the O-ring groove and O-ring AS568-A243 .

And inset the O-ring carefully.3) After finishing all above, assemble the “Top housing” and the “Bottom housing”.

(doing the Pre-work” in a reverse way.)
