We’re looking for school-age children to participate as angels, shepherds, and the Holy
Family in our Children’s Procession at the 6:00 P.M. Christmas Eve Mass. This procession,
which takes place just prior to the start of Mass, has become an annual tradition in our Church.
There will be a rehearsal on Wednesday
12/23/15 at 6:30 PM in the Main Church for all who are interested in participating. Participants will also be asked to arrive early on Christmas
Eve to get their costumes and line up.

Advent Day of Reconciliation
Monday, December 14th 4-8 PM Main Church
The Year of Mercy begins December 8, 2015.
“Dear brothers and sisters, I have thought about how the Church can make clear its mission of being a witness of
mercy…It's a journey that starts with a spiritual conversion. For this reason I have decided to declare an Extraordinary Jubilee that has the mercy of God at its
center. It will be a Holy Year of Mercy.” - Pope Francis
Join us as we celebrate the gift of God’s forgiveness in this special year dedicated to mercy by participating in the Sacrament of
Reconciliation and actively showing mercy and compassion towards others.
The celebrant for this Mass with be Bishop Peter Byrne.

This Advent, St. John the Evangelist will be celebrating both Mercy and Family. Each week, our bulletin will focus on either one or both of these themes and will include talking points in the “Can We Talk” column. These will be thought provoking questions or activities that can serve as the foundation for a family conversation. You can also get involved by sending your own ideas to [email protected].
