Greetings!The month of September has sure brought extra vigor and vitality to our church as we have launched a duoof new ministries. Empowered Men and the Womenof Praise will meet the first Thursday of every month,as they did on September 2nd. These meetings will

provide precious opportunities for you to discover more about navigating the Christian faith throughcomplicated, real life issues. Keeping the boys andgirls separate during this time will keep everyonecomfortable to discuss the things on our hearts. Also,

be on the lookout for Shadow of the Steeple food bank, our chance to bless the community as well asour own by meeting a crucial practical need.

EM POW E R ED ME N¶S GRO UPMen please take a moment to notice the Men'sMinistry Maintenance Memos. Pastor Langley will befilling in tasks that need to be accomplished as he

becomes aware of them. Simply take a moment to seethe doings that need to be done. As you accomplishtasks, please sign your name and the dateaccomplished, so that we can have a thorough recordof all that takes place on this property. Know that you

are appreciated and the Father above takes note of those things you do in this place.

WO ME N OF PRAI SE Immediately following the Morning Worship serviceon September 26, the ³Women of Praise´ will beoffering a fund raising spaghetti dinner. The cost of that dinner is $7.50 per person and for all that you getthe privilege of giving to the Kingdom as well. Howcan it get better than that?

To those of you who have never before been to agood, old fashioned Gospel sing and who have no ideawhat to expect be prepared for one thing: Gospelsongs. That's right. The ladies will be hosting a specialtime of music and worship as we adore the King of kings together.

Look What¶s Happening«SPEC IAL THANK S

Even if cleanliness is really, truly NOT next to godliness, it is

still a nice thing and to be expected in our place of corporate

worship. So it is with grateful hearts that we give a joyous

"Thank you" to each of the following: Diane Ledford, Beverly

Benjamin, Winston Benjamin, and Nadeene King. Thank you,

Diane. Thank you, Bev. Thank you, Winston. Thank you,

Nadeene. The work you do adds so much to the important

business of serving Christ.

One more note of appreciation as well. We thank very much

each and every person who supported the youth fund raisers.

Those teens are the future of the church as we await Christ's

return. So giving to them is giving to the Kingdom and

therefore the King!

DO YO U WANT TO RO C K TH E UNIV E R SE?

On September 10th, our youth intend to do just that as they

attend 'Rock the Universe', a Christian concert at Universal

Studios beginning at 4:00 p.m. and lasting till well after the

stroke of midnight. Newsboys will be there as will Skillet, Jars

of Clay, & Kutless. The cost of the excursion is $45.00 (less for

those who participated in fundraisers) and all young people

should be at the church, ready to leave no later than 4:00 p.m.

C O M ING SOON TO AN A UD ITORI UM NE AR YO U:

Youth Emphasis Sunday! In the near future (and we hope in the

month of September) the young people will bring your way a

bit of ministry to refresh seasoned hearts. Be on the lookout for

a drama entitled ³Critical Condition,´ and young people

leading praise and worship. Come and enjoy what the Lord is

doing in a new generation of the born again.

Dr. R.K. Pier, nearly without a peer in his gift

of opening up the Word of God, is once again

joining us for our mid-week Bible Study. This

great man of God brings with him decades of

experience serving the Lord and teaching the

Book, so that you will not want to miss out on

the valuable insight he has to offer. As an

added academic bonus for anyone interested,

these mid-week sessions may be taken for

college credit through Praise Bible College.

We'll see you there and if not you'll be the one

missing out!

Praise Temple Church of God joyously welcomes Jonathan

Langley to the ministry team in the role of youth pastor.

Jonathan, as many of you know, is the son of Pastor Clayton

Langley and First Lady Judy. He has a tender heart after God

and is sure to touch the hearts of the youth God sends his way.

Also, joining our Pastoral staff are Johnny & Nadeene King.

When you see them, you quickly notice a couple aglow with the

fruit of walking with God. They have a genuine passion for

worship and hearts ablaze for the Kingdom. Real "people

people" the Kings join our pastoral staff to lead in greeting and

ushering. Newcomers and regulars alike are sure to feel the

warm compassion and vibrancy from this special couple.

Every Sunday morning at 9:00 AM, Bro. Ben & Sis. Charlene

are serving up fresh pancakes from our church kitchen.
