10:30 HOLY COMMUNION, BAS
Prelude Variations on a Scottish Carol “That Eastertide With Joy was Bright” R.Wilson
Processional Hymn The Day of Resurrection 205 Introit When in our Music God is Glorified C.V.Stanford
When in our music God is glorified, And adoration leaves no room for pride, It is as though the whole creation cried;
Alleluia! How often, making music, we have found A new dimension in the world of sound,
As worship moved us to a more profound Alleluia!
So has the Church, in liturgy and song, In faith and love, through centuries of wrong, Borne witness to the truth in every tongue:
Alleluia! And did not Jesus sing a psalm that night! When utmost evil strove against the light?
Then let us sing, for whom he won the fight: Alleluia!
Let every instrument be tuned for praise! Let all rejoice who have a voice to raise!
And may God give us faith to sing always: Alleluia!

Man of Sorrows! What a name for the Son of God, who came
ruined sinners to reclaim. Hallelujah What a Saviour!
Bearing shame and scoffing rude, in my place, condemned he stood; Sealed my pardon with his blood.
Hallelujah What a Saviour!
Lifted up was he to die, “It is finished!” was his cry;
Now in heaven exalted high; Hallelujah What a Saviour!
When he comes our glorious King, All His ransomed home to bring, Then anew this song we’ll sing:
Hallelujah What a Saviour!
