DESCRIPTION

This summer we are really excited to be presenting a number of really special projects both in the Centre and beyond. Over the next few months we will be using the gallery slightly differently. Firstly we will be breaking up our usual 9 week exhibition period to present two sound installations by Angie Atmadjaja. Later in the summer we will then be presenting a playful yet provocative project by the artist group Foreign Investment, Everything Must Go, which invites members of the public to bring in discarded consumer objects into the gallery for them to be given a new lease of life and turned into gold. The gallery will be used as a depot, workshop and showroom. We also have an active programme of residencies taking place over the next few months with the space acting as a test-bed for ideas and a space for dialogue. We are delighted to be welcoming Beijing-based critic and curator Carol Yinghua Lu and artist Liu Ding to the Centre in May.
