Chasing Peace Is Like A Dog Chasing Their Tail

Watching a dog chase their tail makes me laugh every time. Their zeal is hilarious! Theyll never catch it,

they already have it, and they dont even know its theirs!

I betchya the Big Guy in the ky got a coule o" real giggles watching me chase eace all those years. Ieventually did get eace but not "rom chasing it. Peace changed my life. So I want to share with

    you how I got it.

    # coule o" years ago I was asked by my $om, a li"e coach, to articiate in a rogram that she and a

artner were develoing. It was a %&'day challenge that would use the body, mind and sirit connection

to ursue a goal. They wanted me to articiate "ully and, as another li"e coach, criti(ue their work.

Well I love my $amma and a good challenge, so I went "or it, "ull steam ahead) no holds barred. #t the

time, I didnt know what kind o" goals they had in mind but I did know Id wanted eace "or at least hal" a

li"etime and still didnt have it, so that was my goal.

I also wanted to get out o" a rut musically and increase my musical literacy, so *ver #chiever Tamatha

decided to throw in a bonus goal, too.

To make a long story short, I didachieve eace in %& days and ket it, too! +eres how in order to

achieve my musical goal, I had to rotect my time, my energy, my brain ower, my emotions, my

concentration, my need "or slee- you get the icture. In short, I had to set boundaries and keep

    them.

imle as that'' summed u in a o sychology term weve all heard a thousand times. Boundaries. I

"inally got it! /ou see, eace is a siritual gi"t, given to us "reely and in abundance because we are loved

and we need it. It wasnt peace I didnt ha!e all those years"it was boundaries. Peace was

already planted inside me# but it needed space to grow. I had to ull weeds. I had to ut u a

"ence. I had to tend to it. But it was there all along. #nd it changed my li"e!

o the li"e coach in me is curious on a scale o" 0'1, how imortant is eace to you2 +ow do you de"ine

eace2 Whats one area in the landscae o" your li"e that you know needs a "ence2 What does the "ence

cost2 What does the "ence rotect2

Id love to hear your thoughts and re"lections on any o" these (uestions, your story on how you "ound

eace, or what that word means to you. 3auline and I both "eel so blessed to have such wonder"ul

members with good minds and "un stories! o catch me a"ter class or dro me a line atTamatha4TheBody$ind#ndirit5oach.com6cuz we truly are interested in more than 7ust your
