andhowtoliveitinthebestway.Ifyouaskakidwhotheirherois,mostlikelytheywillrespondwiththenameofanathlete,anentertainerorsomeonetheyseeonTV.Ourentertainment-focusedsocietyliftsthesefolksupasmodelsforus.Ihavenothingagainstthesefolks.IenjoywatchingsportsanddolooktosomeonelikeKevinDurantasamod-elforbasketball.HesagreatathletewhohasworkedhardtobewhereheisnowintheNBA.GeneticsandgiftsfromGodhavehelpedoutquiteabit,butnooneisaprofessionalathletewith-outputtingincountlesshourspracticingtheirsport.

ButtruerolemodelsandheroesformearemuchclosertohomethanwhatIseeonTV.Ineedlooknofurtherthanourchurchfamily.ThatsonereasonIm

sohappytohavemysonsbeingraisedbythiswonderfulcommunityofFCC.Theygettoseetruerolemodelsinactionandbeencouraged,influencedandaf-fectedbytheactionsofthesesaints.ConsiderBernieandJoyceMcNickle,whoputincountlesshoursdoingchurchwork.Whetheritsorganizingdinners,visitingthesickandhomeboundordoingotherelderduties,theyaretirelessintheirefforts.Ifyouaskthemwhytheydoit,theirresponseisassimpleas,Thats

whataChristiandoes.OrDykeMoffatt,whohasquietlydonesomefreedentalworkforanothermemberofthechurch.Hedidntwantfanfare,hejustwantedtohelp.Andhelphedid.HowaboutMicheleSchlough?ShehasspentcountlesshoursorganizingaministrytosendChristmasgiftboxestoneedychildreninforeigncountrieswho

donthavetheopportunitytohearaboutChristsloveforthem.Lastyetheysentover1,700boxesandwhknowshowmanytheylldothisyear

OrKayMades,whohasspentmahoursencouragingandtutoringagirinourchurchfamily.Shesawaneeandreachedout,givingofhertimeasharingherlove.FinallyIthinkofEricKoegelandJohnWerhun,bothdiagnosedwithcancer,butwhohaveshownuscourage,faith,strengthandloveinhowthavedealtwiththeirdiagnosesandtreatment.TheybothhavegoodnewandcansharethemanymiraclesGo

hasgiventhemintheirjourneys.Thareaninspirationtome.Asareallothesefolks.TheyarebutafewofthmanymiraclestorieshereatthischuIinviteyoutotakethetimetoheartmanystorieshereIknowyoullbemovedandIhopeyoullsharethemwithmychildren,too.Theyneedtohearabouttrueheroesandrolemod

In Anointed, Transformed, Redeemed, you will view the life ofDavid through three segments, two lessons from each author.
