At this exhibition people who work at actual manufacturing sites introduce and display models and actual examples of low cost automation (LCA) improvements they have developed themselves, by improving their technologies and skills, to address the problems they face in their own work (work efficiency impediments,quality defects, negative workplace environment factors, etc.) . This year's exhibition will feature numerous examples of unique ideas and playful improvements of participating companies. Please come, see the improvements on exhibit, and listen to the explanations of their creators. Karakuri KAIZEN Exhibition 2017 What is Karakuri KAIZEN (As defined by Toyoharu tsusura, Professor Emeritus at Shibaura Institute of Technology) 1 2 3 4 Karakuri KAIZEN is demonstrationg the knowledge of on-site operator and creating a mechanism by hand, resulting in fun mechanisms that are high in creativity and that can be a reference for others. KAIZEN (improvements) that meet the following conditions are Karakuri KAIZEN. The mechanism is simple and allows easy troubleshooting. The mechanism makes full use of gravity, coil springs, levers, cams, lights, threads, strings, cogwheels, and the like. The improvement is inexpensive. The material cost is low and only a low level of power is required. The 3 mu's in the workplace have been reached. The operation improvement eliminates the 3 mu's , , and . Quality, productivity, failure rate, maintainability, ease of inspection, material handling efficiency, and safety. Great achievements are obtained in terms of the above and more. Print out the response email and bring it to the Special Reception Desk on the day of the event.*To apply after September 16, bring your business card and apply on the date of the event at the Special Reception Desk.*The participation fee can be paid on the day of the event in cash16, but only Japanese yen.*There is not group discount.

*You can hear explanation from operator at each company booth, but mostly in Japanese only.*Do not bring camera, video camera and any other recorders. No Photography, No Video, No Sound Recording.*Please have a look around safely inside of hall.*When you apply as tour via travel agency or organization, please provide participants list in advance.
