A homogeneous high technology aircraft fl eetCannes Aviation Academy operates a high technology aircraft fl eet consisting of the DIAMOND’s family: 2 DA40 VFR equipped for night VFR, 2 DA40 equipped for IFR fl ights with EFIS Garmin 1000

and Autopilot, 3 DA42 equipped for IFR fl ights with EFIS Garmin 1000,

Autopilot and de-icing system, 1 Extra 200 for aerobatic fl ights, 1 Eclipse 500*, last generation very light jet with Pratt

& Withney jet engines and full EFIS, The school is also equipped with a high quality "glass

cockpit" fl ight simulator FNPT2/ALSIM, including "LPV

GNSS Approach" method thus enabling a progressive and balanced training.

Out of a total of 210 fl ight hours, more than 135 hours shall be performed with an EFIS System (Electronic Flight Instrument System): a must in the current aeronautical landscape. At the end of training, you will have a 6 hour Jet familiarisation course on the Eclipse 500 Jet. You will also perform a MCC (Multi Crew Coordination) course and a Jet Orientation Course on Full Flight B747/400 Simulator**.

LEARNING OBJECTIVESThe Integrated ATP(A) Course is aimed at training and qualifying professional pilots and getting them to the skills level required to perform the duties and functions of a fi rst offi cer on board of multi-pilot and multi-engine aircrafts in commercial air transport.

The course is delineated by the completion of the following EASA License and qualifi cations: CPL(A) (professional pilot), IR(A) and MEP(L) (instrument fl ight/multi-engines), MCC (multi crew cooperation), OACI English language profi ciency: level IV

minimum guaranteed (FCL 055), even level V depending on students.

Only these licences and qualifications completed according to the EASA (European Aviation Safety Agency) standards enable to work for European public transport airlines.

The whole course lasts 2 years. It consists in one theoretical phase and 5 practical phases.

THE PROGRAM: THEORETICAL PARTTheoretical courses are completed under the responsibility of the Chief Theoretical Knowledge Instructor (CTKI) of Cannes Aviation Academy. They are given by highly qualifi ed teachers through multi-media support course.

Courses related to the theoretical ATPL are given in English and split as follows:

As all the courses are taught in English, students must have a minimum level in English. For instance, you should have, at least, the following level: TOEFL Paper (500 points), TOEFL IBT (65 points), TOEIC (600 points).The theoretical ATPL courses are provided in English language for 6 to 8 subjects per semester. They

are given by Ground Instructors as lecture courses and practical courses. All courses are under periodical continuous assessment. At the end of each course, exams

are organized by the French Civil Aviation Authority (DGAC). Each student can attempt 4 times per certifi cate.

In addition of an iPad which is also used for the practical part of the program, each student will benefit of a complete set of digital books allowing to prepare the 14 theoretical ATPL certifi cates. Each student gets also

a personal access to a data bank of questions related to ATPL exams. A dedicated study room equipped with CBT softwares (Computer Base Training) allows students to practice and improve their knowledge on their own.

SELECTION AND ADMISSION PROCEDURETo follow Cannes Aviation Academy ATP(L) training program is obviously open to all. Applicants must nevertheless satisfy to regulatory prerequirements as determined by the EASA and the DGAC but also to specifi c conditions determined by the school. This selection policy ensures the ability of each student pilot to receive intense instruction in order to practice tomorrow the profession of Pilot with high professional responsibilities and qualifi cations.

Regulatory prerequirementsAny applicant for an ATP(A) integrated course shall comply with the following admission prerequisites: Shall be at least 17 years of age1, Shall hold a valid Class 1 medical certifi cate issued by

a CEMPN2 (aeromedical expert centre for fl ying staff) , Shall have demonstrated a suffi cient level of know-

ledge at physics and mathematics to facilitate an understanding of the contents of the course, Shall have demonstrated an ability to use the English

language.

1/ Applicant should have over 18 years for practical exam for Commercial Pilot Licence CPL(A).

2/ Applicant should have a valid class 1 medical certifi cate for all fl ight training sessions.

Specifi c requirementsApplication is open to any student holding a good academic level of qualification and having preferably passed a Baccalauréat / S (scientifi c) stream / (equivalent to the British A-Level), or having previously followed a first degree of technical or scientifi c studies.

Cannes Aviation requirements are based on the following criteria: The applicant shall fi ll in an application form com-piling information about educational background, professional experience and motivation, Passing the fi rst recruitment test, the applicant will then be assessed by Cannes Aviation accor-ding to the following procedure: Mathematics MCQ, Scientifi c knowledge MCQ, Psycho technical MCQ, English, Individual interview (total time 4h), Age limit is set at 32 years.

Considering previous experience (PPL)Assuming applicant holds of a valid Private Pilot Licence PPL(A), a reduction of hours is applied. Thus it allows a signifi cant reduction for training budget (cf training rates page 12).
