1. Entries can be of two types: a PIECE, or a PERFORMANCE. 2. A PIECE could be, for example: A 2D or 3D piece of art A multimedia presentation A piece of writing – fact, fiction or poetry Photography or video A sign A marketing ad or marketing campaign plan A display e.g. of hairstyles, houses, types of car, engine parts, buildings, menus, parts of Cumbria, children’s books, toys, heating systems, interior decoration, body piercing, in fact just about anything! 3. A PERFORMANCE could be for example: A play (or excerpt from a play – may be worth filming to play on a loop) A dance A meal A fashion show A hairdressing competition A musical performance An acrobatic display A DJ competition NB Let Gavin Hawkton [email protected] know as early as possible if students are entering a performance (it may be worth filming the performance in advance to play on a loop to use as part of a display and for your records) 4. Entries can either be designed to reflect the diversity of the College/community/UK/Europe/world, or to explore one particular aspect of that diversity (for example effects of isolation on a particular cultural or religious group, the deaf community, the gay community, disabled athletes, young mums, grandparents, the unemployed, bikers, Asian footballers, wheelchair users, etc) or both. 5. Deadline for entries Monday 8th June 2020 Entries must be registered with Gavin Hawkton [email protected] before the deadline Judging will be carried out by an invited panel The students must email a completed entry details form providing a description of their entry

by the above closing date Students must declare any help they may have received towards their entry
