YMCA Mission:Your YMCA, reflecting its Judeo-Christian heritage, is an association of volunteers,members and staff open to and serving all,providing programs and services whichdevelop spirit, mind and body. Financialassistance is available based on need. TheYMCA actively seeks to identify and involvethose in need.

Dear YMCA Family,

For over a decade, the Carl E. Sanders Family YMCA has been serving the Buckheadcommunity and we believe a celebration is in order!

Ten years ago, we opened our doors on Moores Mill Rd. with 1,200 Charter members.Today, we have over 15,000 Facility and Program members and are proud of the widevariety of activities we are able to provide. Thank you for embracing the mission, valuesand YMCA commitment to serve the community. I want to share some of the ways wehave evolved over the years....

• Our adapted sports has grown to include wheelchair basketball, handball, hockey, flagfootball and adapted swimming;

• YMCA Academy/Select Soccer program started in 2006 and now serves nearly 200 players annually and is represented in the Wales International Tournament;

• Our annual Partner With Youth campaign has increased by 500%, and the number of program experiences has grown from 200 to over 5,000;

• We have outreach programs and active partnerships with the Latin American Association, the Agape Center, the Atlanta Group Home, American Adapted Association Sports Program, My Sister’s House, and two local elementary schools, just for starters.

In celebration of 10 years, we've added several new features to include:• A new group exercise studio• New rubber playground surface• A new shade structure for the outdoor pool, just to name a few.

We feel like proud parents when we look around our YMCA. Many of our summer campershave become camp counselors and childcare staff; kids who learned to swim here nowserve as lifeguards and swim instructors; part-time staff members have chosen full-timeYMCA careers. We have the privilege of guiding children as they grow, helping individualsachieve personal milestones and develop healthy lifestyles, providing support and friend-ship for seniors and meeting needs through outreach in our community. Over the last tenyears, you let us be a part of your journey and welcomed us into your family. Thank you!

We look forward to another 10 years of serving you, your family and the community. Watchfor exciting things to come this year, and join with us as we celebrate 10 years of YMCAservice in Buckhead!

All My Best,Kristin McEwenExecutive Director
