Free for facility members. Dinner is provided for a small fee. Friday, July 22nd, 6 – 8 pm. Dive In Movie - Members Only Have dinner at the outdoor pool with other members! Enjoy a movie at dusk! We will have hot dogs and hamburgers for dinner or bring your own. The event will be Friday, August 26th, 6 - 8 pm. The movie will begin at 8 pm. Outdoor Pool Safety Safety is always our priority so here is a friendly reminder about our pool rules: • Children17 & under must have a wrist band on to help lifeguards identify them. • Children who are 4’ or taller get a green band; Children under 4’ get a red band. • If your child has red band, you must be within arm’s reach of them at all times. They can always take the swim test to let us know they can safely be in and around deeper water! • Feel free to bring any food from home, just no glass please! • With many fun water features in the pool we ask that you leave the super soaker water guns and floats at home. • Remember the Y towels are for inside use only. If you have any questions, please contact Member Services at 404-350-9292. KEEPING YOU INFORMED Construction Update If you have not had a chance to peek through the windows on the indoor track, please do! You can see the work being done on the 12,000 square foot expansion. We have landscaping crews working to finish up the front drive and the stairs from the upper lot are now open! As always, thank you for your patience! We are rapidly making progress towards our expansion. Please visit us here for our expansion progress! Benefits of attending the drop-in orientation: • Offers an opportunity to ask any questions you may have regarding the program. • Gives the Youth & Family Programs Director an opportunity to share with you the goals and vision of the program. • Offers our new parents the opportunity to meet returning parents and build relationships. BENEFITTING OUR COMMUNITYAquatics Department Awarded Grant from YMCA of the USAThe Buckhead Aquatics department was awarded a grant throughthe YMCA of the USA to teach 100 underserved and first timeswimmers how to swim. The program is currently being held that the Y’s Chattahoochee Head Start Learning Center. “The excitementand enthusiasm from the children is overwhelming! They are so excited to be in the water and learn to swim; it is the most rewarding feeling I have had since I started teaching lessons 12years ago” Diana Broome, Senior Aquatics Director. The children arereceiving eight 30 minute lessons over a four week period. We arefortunate to be the beneficiaries of this grant!
