Company Overview and Services Offered
Keyway Curb Company was founded in 1986 with the goal providing a more cost effective
and time efficient alternative to curb and gutter. Keyway Curb is a system for constructing
curbing by slip-forming a low slump 4500psi fiber reinforced concrete over a milled
“keyway” that has been tack-coated. The compressed concrete fills and imbeds into the
(2”x5”) keyway anchoring the curb into the pavement. The tack-coat provides additional
bonding between the concrete and asphalt as well as prevents the unwanted migration of
water under the curbing preventing delamination from freeze-thaw. In retro-fitting of ex-
isting roadways, in-kind $ savings of over 60% vs. curb and gutter are common. Worker
and motorist safety is enhanced by installation rates 8 times that of normal curb and
gutter. Greenhouse gas emissions are also reduced by 70% or more. We also provide
asphalt repair and maintenance services, including pothole/crack repair, sealcoating, line
striping, concrete repair/replacement (flatwork) as well as concrete cleaning and sealing.
