It is designated as a Sunshine Coast Wide Recreation Park and makes a significant contribution to the Caloundra Open Space Network. The reserve consists of around 49ha of bushland and caters for informal recreational, social, cultural and leisure activities for the community. Project summary In February and March this year the community were invited to share their ideas to help determine the long-term vision for the reserve. This feedback has been used to guide and develop a concept plan over recent months. The concept plan has been generated and aims to: • determine a variety of recreation opportunities for the site • investigate the site’s connections to the wider area • maintain the sites environmental values • reflect the community’s vision, priorities and hopes for the future of the reserve Community engagement You are invited to participate by having your say on the concept plan. Your feedback will help refine the concept plan for the reserve. The concept plan will be made available on council’s website and on public display at Caloundra Library from mid-May 2017. Have your say Complete the online survey by visiting www.sunshinecoast.qld.gov.au/Living-and- Community/Community- Engagement/2017/Caloundra-Town-Reserve. Alternatively, if you do not have access to the internet you can request a hardcopy of the survey to be mailed to you by contacting council on the details below. All completed surveys go into a draw to win $300 in gift vouchers to Caloundra food and beverage businesses. Submissions close 5pm on Friday 09 June 2017.
