Theme

• The theme of Holes is about a boy who believes he is always at the wrong place, wrong place. He believes this because of his No-good-dirty-rotten-pig-stealing-great-great- grandfather. As the story goes on Stanley grows and he makes friends with most of the campers. He receives the nickname “Caveman.” In the end Camp Green Lake gets in trouble for it’s violations. And Stanley and Zero go home with Stanley’s lawyer. He also finds a trunk with gold and jewelry which is worth millions in today’s time. He splits the jewelry 50/50 with Hector Zeroni a.k.a. “Zero.”

Camp Green Lake?• If you’ve never READ the BOOK Holes

before, this is for you. The genre of Holes is nonfiction. Camp Green Lake is a place for juveniles. It is harsh and hot. The campers dig to “build character” but the real reason is that the warden wants to find treasure.
