SuSANNA BlANChARDLevel v Executive Consultant from Houston, Texas

For Susanna, confidence is key.

Level v Executive Consultant Susanna Blanchard’s only regret about Rodan + Fields® is not having immediately pursued the opportunity when a friend first encouraged her to enroll in February 2013. Several months later, however, she was happy to admit that she came to her senses and joined as an Independent Consultant in May 2013. The low setup cost to launch her Rodan + Fields business and a desire to expand her skillset motivated the stay-at-home mom and former eighth grade teacher to take a chance and start her own business. “I wanted to contribute to our income and have something that was outside mommy mode,” says Susanna, who in just three months has increased her EC Legs by eight and earns the same monthly salary working her business five to seven hours a week as she earned as a fulltime teacher. Susanna is pleased to say that she can now take her family on more vacations, donate to organizations that are important to her, such as the Wounded Warrior Project, and save for her family’s future.

Naturally competitive, Susanna says goal setting has contributed to her success. “When I set a goal, I run for it, “ says Susanna, who reached Level v status in less than three months of launching her business. She also believes that confidence plays a big role in achieving goals and motivating team members, new and seasoned. “I encourage Consultants to be confident in themselves. If they don’t believe they can be successful in this business, they won’t be,” says Susanna. She advises Consultants to approach family and friends, the people who want to see them succeed the most, before their broader network. She clears her calendar to sit in on three-way conference calls with team members and their prospects because she believes the best way to train her Consultants to invite and close prospects is to allow them to listen to her lead the call. “I believe team members can have great success if they are willing to stretch outside their comfort zone and work hard,” says Susanna, and this is how she has seen her EC Leg count grow. Susanna is set on helping everyone on her team hit goals, whether it’s to reach Level v, earn a Lexus through the Road to RFx Car Program or achieve RFx Circle status.

JANE BulICkLevel v Executive Consultant from Brentwood, Tennessee

Jane’s motto is to do small things with great love.

When several of her friends, who happened to be Rodan + Fields® Independent Consultants on the same team, asked for help in growing their customer base, Jane Bulick made every effort to help and became a customer. Jane heard about the Company in a Single Mom’s Support Group meeting at her church. Her friends were real estate agents who had launched Rodan + Fields businesses when the housing market plunged in 2008 and encouraged her to try the products. Jane had no idea that lending a hand would lead her down the path to a new career managing her own skincare business. “I’m bolder and feel more empowered to continue assisting my team members build their business,” says Jane about growing her business.

When asked what drives her to achieve goals and develop her team, Jane quotes Mother Teresa: “We can do no great things, only small things with great love.” Jane believes that key communications strategies like memorizing 30-second introductions, one-liners and closing comments help her new Consultants become leaders. “I tell my new Consultants that growing EC Legs starts with roleplaying,” says Jane about the importance of forming small groups to practice interview language skills. Jane urges Consultants to roll up their sleeves and create a list of prospects and rank them 1 to 10, watch Level v Leader presentations, read motivational books and even boost morale when team members become discouraged.

Although she dedicates most of her efforts to building a strong team and qualifying for a Lexus through the Road to RFx Car Program, Jane hopes her earnings will one day be enough to fund a scholarship program for college students in honor of her parents, and a former colleague who was murdered while teaching at an inner city school. “Dr. Katie Rodan and Dr. Kathy Fields have empowered me to live out a passion I could have never realized on my own,” says Jane, who while losing her eyesight and undergoing a cornea transplant achieved Level v status.

ERICA BuRgESSLevel v Executive Consultant from Coppell, Texas

For Erica, putting in consistent activity and following up pays off.

In 2012, a social situation turned into a business opportunity for Level v Executive Consultant Erica Burgess when she attended a friend’s Rodan + Fields® Big Business Launch event. The simple business model and solid reputation of the products caught her attention, but it was the opportunity to work fewer hours that sold her on the Company. She could see that her friend was able to get her career to accommodate her family life, and she desired this too. “I saw Rodan + Fields as a way to make my dream of having a flexible and financially rewarding career a reality,” says Erica about her search for a fulfilling opportunity to help financially support her family while doing everything that’s important to her as a parent. Although Erica had originally planned to return to her corporate attorney career, she opted for her own Rodan + Fields business because it offered the work-family balance she wanted.

For Erica, EC is the first step to understanding the potential financial

benefits of the business. “I love the fact that our business model allows

you to be successful by equipping others for similar success,” says

Erica about the importance of growing EC Legs. Erica, who experienced

some initial momentum when she launched her business but also

experienced some setbacks, encourages Consultants to have a long-

term view of the business. She believes that putting in consistent

activity and following up with prospects, even when you’re not seeing

immediate results, eventually pays off. Through her efforts, Erica went

from Level II at the end of May 2013 to Level v at the end of June 2013.

Erica has set goals to achieve Premier Level v this fall and qualify for

a Lexus through the Road to RFx Car Program by the end of 2013 and

knows continuing to duplicate EC Legs will get her there.

TIFFANy NOwlINLevel v Executive Consultant from Deer Park, Texas

Striving to achieve EC status gives Tiffany a goal to work toward.

Level v Executive Consultant Tiffany Nowlin, who owns a namesake hair salon in Webster, Texas, launched her Rodan + Fields® business in February 2013 to create a more financially secure future for her family. While Tiffany’s good at making small talk to get to know her hair salon clients, she had to learn how to harness her nervous energy when she spoke in front of groups of people at events and at Big Business Launches. “Not only has Rodan + Fields built confidence in me in many ways, it’s already changing my family’s life too,” says Tiffany, who reached Level v status in just five months.

When it comes to motivating new Consultants, Tiffany asks, “Why wait to get started?” She encourages them to grow their business immediately while embracing the long-term potential for profit generating success. “I truly believe in this business and the products so I try and get them going quickly,” says Tiffany, who feels a positive environment, training and strong leadership help new Consultants promote in Title. Achieving the EC Title gives Tiffany and her team a tangible target to shoot for every time they enroll a new Consultant, and this in turn helps them create a strategy for Consultants as they begin their business. Tiffany’s motivation comes from the people who are nearest and dearest to her. “When I look at my family, it makes me want to achieve all my goals. They are worth it. I plan to never give up on Rodan + Fields, and I feel blessed to have been given this opportunity,” says Tiffany, who adds, “If my team members stay focused, optimistic and confident, their futures will always be bright.”

RONDA VERRETLevel v Executive Consultant from Columbia, Illinois

keeping Rodan + Fields® top of mind helps Ronda and her team focus on priorities.

Working mother of three Ronda verret was introduced to Rodan + Fields® by a dear friend in October 2011. Ronda was immediately drawn to the simple business model and decided to join as an Independent Consultant. Ronda quickly discovered that she couldn’t run her direct mail advertising franchise, which she had owned and operated for more than eight years, and launch her Rodan + Fields business. She began using the products, though, and people started noticing a change in her skin. In April 2012, she managed to find a way to work her Rodan + Fields business part-time but had to place her business on hold four months later when she acquired another advertising franchise. In April 2013, Ronda resumed her Rodan + Fields business, and, in less than a year, bravely walked away from her direct mail business.

Ronda’s decision to give up her other career and turn her attention to Rodan + Fields has brought her significant success. She promoted from Level II EC to Level v EC in two months, and she can’t wait to see her team members hit these milestones as well. Ronda looks for business-minded self-starters and influencers to join her team and encourages them to do the same. She asks them to create a target business partner list using the Memory Jogger available in the Pulse Business Development Library and then identify their top 10 candidates. She then helps strategize about the best ways to reach out to these prospects and suggests Consultants use BBLs, three-way calls and Business Presentation events to begin the cultivation process. “I encourage Consultants to reach out to five prospects a day,” says Ronda about keeping Rodan + Fields top of mind. While Ronda has goals to pay off her husband’s law school loans and put her three boys through college with her R+F earnings, her passion is to show her team members how they can be successful and eventually open a home for troubled children. “I try to teach my Consultants that you are what you think. If you think you can, then you can. And I say, ‘don’t take no personally. Always think of no as not right now.”
