Bunk Bed

Assembly Instructions

Thank you for buying our Canadian-made products.

Congratulations! Your Bunk Bed is now assembled.

The Bunk Bed Ladder can be used over the end or over the side of

the bunk bed. Screws and bolts should be tightened periodically to ensure a long-lasting product.

* Using the bunk beds as separate beds: If you have the split bunks option and want to use the beds separately, you may want to put the post brackets all at the

same height in either the upper or lower positions.

Tools: Rubber Mallet, 1/2” and 5/8” Wrenches (or drill and sockets), #2 Robertson Screwdriver (or drill and #2 Robertson bit) 1) Inventory Parts: 2 Bunk Bed End Assemblies, 4

½-log Bed Rails, 2 Top-bunk Safety Rails, 2 Bed Slat

Rolls, 1 bag of Fastening Hardware, Instructions.

4) Install Bottom Bed Rails and Safety Rails:

Insert both Bottom Bed Rails with bolt heads

hooked into the brackets. Snug by hand only.

Insert both safety rails in place in the top bunk.

Use a mallet to drive tenons of the safety rails into

the mortise holes all the way by hitting the posts

inward. (No glue or fastening hardware required).

3) Insert Bed Rails Bolts (16): Screw 1” bolts

(5/8” heads) into brackets on side rails by

hand.

6) Slat Rolls: Un-roll the two slat rolls with

the straps sides up. Secure them in three

places on each side of each slat roll as shown

below with 1½” wood screws, on the end

boards and on the middle board

(Twelve places in total).

2) Attach Bed Rail Brackets Upper and lower screw

positions are pre-marked on all bed posts. Fasten 8

brackets in total (4 top, 4 bottom). Hooks go toward

the outside of the bed pointing up. Screws are

towards the inside of the bed (see photo below).

Normally the brackets go in the lower location on

the bottom and upper locations on the top bunk to

allow better access to the lower bunk. (* see note

below for split bunks option)

5) Top Bed Rail: Remove the two bolts from

one end of each remaining bed rail. Hook the

other end of one of the rails into the post

bracket under one of the installed safety rails.

Align the other end of Bed Rail with its bracket

and screw the two removed bolts in by hand.

Repeat for the other side.

Tighten all 16 bolts using the 5/8” wrench.
