 COYOTE KILLERS

Jack Eichel has totaled 11 points (3+8) in eight career games against Arizona, including five points (1+4) in four home games. It’s

his second-best per-game output against any opponent, trailing only his 19 points in 13 career meetings with the Ottawa Senators.

Jeff Skinner has totaled eight points (4+4) in his last seven games against the Coyotes, including points in each of the last three

(4+2).

Rasmus Ristolainen has totaled eight points (2+6) in 10 career meetings with Arizona. It’s his second-best per-game output against

any opponent, trailing only his 14 points in 11 career meetings with the Edmonton Oilers.

Sam Reinhart has recorded five points (1+4) in his last five games against the Coyotes.

Evan Rodrigues and Conor Sheary both have points in each of their last three games against Arizona, totaling a goal and two

assists each.

Linus Ullmark has allowed just one goal in two career appearances against the Coyotes, stopping 48 of 49 shots (.980) in those

games to post a 0.66 goals-against average.  23 AND “C”Today is Jack Eichel’s 23rd birthday. Only two players in Sabres franchise history have recorded more points than Eichel beforeturning 23 years old. Just three players have scored more goals for the team before their 23rd birthdays.

 A STRONG START

The Sabres are 9-2-1 entering their final game of October. They have already recorded the franchise’s second-highest point total in

the opening month of a season. With a win tonight, they would tie the franchise record, matching the team’s 21-point output in

October 2006 (10-0-1).

Buffalo’s plus-12 goal differential so far this season currently ranks as their fifth-best in a season-opening month and the best since

October 2006.

Carter Hutton (2) and Linus Ullmark (1) have combined for three shutouts through Buffalo’s first 12 games. It is the first time in

franchise history that the Sabres have posted three shutouts in the first month of the season.

Regardless of tonight’s result, the Sabres’ points percentage after the opening month will rank in the franchise’s top five starts to the

season. With a win, it would rank third all-time.

*With one game remaining in month HOME SWEET HOME

At 5-0-0 through their first five home games, the Sabres are the only team in the NHL that has yet to lose a game at home in 2019-

20.

With a 5-0-0 start to their home schedule for the first time since 1984-85, the Sabres are looking to tie a franchise record set in the

1975-76 season by opening the season with six consecutive wins at home.

Entering play Sunday, the Sabres’ per-game rates ranked them among the league’s leaders at home in goals (4th, 4.4 GF/GP), goals

against (6th, 2.2 GA/GP) and goal differential (2nd, plus-2.2 GD/GP).  VIC-O MODE

All six of Victor Olofsson’s goals this season have come on the power play, tying James Neal for most in the league entering play

Sunday. He also led all rookies in goals (6), tied to lead all rookies in points (10), and led rookie forwards in ice time per game

(17:26).

Entering play Sunday, no NHL player had scored more power-play goals than Olofsson’s eight in 18 games played since he made

his NHL debut on March 28, 2019 vs. Detroit. He has set an NHL record by becoming the first player in NHL history to score each of

his first seven-plus career goals with a man advantage.  SABRES AMONG LEAGUE-LEADERS (Sabres’ league rankings before 10/27 games)
