#BuckeyeLove  Pay  Forward  Challenge  Instructions  for  Club  and  Society  Members      Let  us  showcase  your  club  or  society  on  social  media!  The  university  needs  your  help!  We  want  to  share  stories  of  Buckeyes  paying  forwarding  across  the  country  on  our  social  media  channels.  You  could  have  your  groups  showcased  on:    

•   The  university  or  alumni  Facebook  page  (Facebook.com/OSU,  Facebook.com/OSUAA)    

•   The  university  or  alumni  Twitter  page  (@OhioState,  @OhioStateAlumni)      To  participate,  we’ll  need  you  to  download  and  print  our  pay  forward  cards,  perform  a  pay  forward  opportunity  (think  random  act  of  kindness),  take  a  photo  of  the  event  and  share  the  photo  with  us.  Please  send  us  your  photo  and  story  no  later  than  Sunday,  January  29,  2017.        

1.   Perform  a  pay  forward  opportunity,  or  random  act  of  kindness.  If  you  need  ideas,  we’ve  provided  a  list  below  (page  3).  You  don’t  have  to  use  this  list,  feel  free  to  get  creative!    

2.   Take  a  photo  representing  the  pay  forward  opportunity.  Be  sure  to  include  the  provided  pay  forward  card  (pdf  attached)  

3.   Email  the  photo,  and  answers  to  the  following  questions,  to  Michelle  Morgan,  Morgan.1001@osu.edu

Pay  forward  acts  of  kindness  ideas:    •   Pay  for  the  beverage  or  food  for  someone  else  in  line  •   Send  a  friend  a  hand  written  note  in  the  mail  to  celebrate  your  friendship  •   Clean  someone’s  windshield  in  your  parking  lot  •   Send  dessert  to  another  table  •   Buy  a  student,  co-­‐worker  or  friend  lunch  •   Write  a  thank  you  note  to  a  Veteran  •   Bring  in  a  healthy  or  unhealthy  treat  for  your  co-­‐workers,  classmates  or  friends  •   Buy  flowers  from  a  local  vendor  and  randomly  give  them  to  someone  •   Donate  to  the  Buckeye  Food  Alliance:  http://www.buckeyefoodalliance.org/    •   Distribute  scarves,  hats,  gloves  and  umbrella’s  to  those  in  need  •   Let  someone  have  your  seat  on  a  crowded  bus  or  subway  •   Take  care  of  the  chores  your  partner,  roommate  or  friend  dislikes  •   Email  or  write  to  a  current  or  former  teacher  or  professor  who  made  a  difference  

in  your  life.  •   On  social  media,  send  a  genuine  compliment  to  three  people  right  now  •   Cook  a  meal,  do  a  load  of  laundry  or  perform  another  task  to  help  a  fellow  

Buckeye  in  need  •   Thank  a  public  service  worker  (bus  driver,  police  officer,  mail  carrier  or  sanitation  

worker)  •   Play  board  games  or  cards  with  senior  citizens  at  a  nursing  home  •   Send  anonymous  flowers  to  a  fellow  Buckeye    •   Clean  your  closet  and  donate  items  to  a  local  cause    •   If  you  walk  by  a  car  with  an  expired  meter,  put  a  quarter  in  it
