Skiathos is the smallest of the Sporades islands (eight miles long andsix miles wide) and lies closest to the Greek mainland, six miles away.

The northern coastline remains virtually untouched; a visit to the

northern beaches, below beautiful valleys of pines, by private boat will

reward the more adventurous with clear waters and privacy.

Alternatively, the tiny island of Tsougria off the southern coast can be

reached by caque in fifteen minutes from Skiathos harbour and offers

a selection of sandy beaches. Skiathos Town is the only town on the

island; a drive to the interior of Skiathos allows one to find smallhamlets hidden amongst pine forests and ornate churches.

northern European accents

the waterfront, narrowflagstoned sidestreets of

jewellery shops rise to an

countrified area called Kalivia, just a five minute drive from the waterfront

of Skiathos Town. From its elevated hillside position, there are beautiful

views over the surrounding olive groves towards Skiathos Town and

across the sea to the little islands lying offshore from Skiathos south

coast.

Built on one level and with a large grassed area, easily visible from the

living areas, the villa is one of our more child-friendly properties.

Comfortably furnished and spacious interiors open out to wide verandahs

and swimming pool.

Set back just fifteen metres from the sea, Achladies Beach Cottage is a

perfect spot for those wanting to stay close to the sandy beach. A

pathway leads from the cottage through a small garden of olive trees and

tall pampas grass to the beach in front of the property.

Simply but comfortably furnished, the cottage has a shaded terrace and

an attractive courtyard of potted plants, tended to by the owners who live

next door.

Achladies Beach Cottage will appeal to those looking for a comfortable

base close to a sandy beach and affording easy access to a good

selection of shops and tavernas.

seclusion yet is only a five minute drive to the waterfront shops and

tavernas of Skiathos Town. The villa is comfortably furnished and

spacious, with ample terraces and balconies.

From the villas elevated hillside position, there are dramatic views over a

valley carpeted with olive trees, the red rooftops of Skiathos Town and

harbour and across the sea to Evia. With no immediate neighbours,

Psapphas setting is only disturbed by cicadas and the occasional call of

a shepherd to his flock.

Mature gardens of pink and white oleanders, bougainvillaea and wisteria

enclose the pool terrace.

Villa Ithea is one of the very few villas on Skiathos to be close to the sea

and yet to have a swimming pool. The villa is on a hillside of olive and

pine trees and overlooks Tsaneria Bay. Seven other villas stand further up

the hill but Itheas sea-facing terraces (affording wonderful views) and

pool have privacy.

The natural terraces which border the villa are planted with grapevine,

roses, palms and colourful flowers which blend into the surrounding

pines.

As there are unprotected drops, the villa is not suitable for toddlers.

The two Zakaroula Villas hide away on the hillside of Profitis Ilias, in

undisturbed seclusion yet only a ten minute drive inland from Skiathos

Town. The views from the villas are to the hills and valleys of olive groves,

the whitewashed houses of Skiathos Town and its port and the offshore

islands of Argos, Maragos, Tsougri and Tsougriaki.

Each villa is set thirty metres apart on separate hillside terraces and is

surrounded by olive trees.

There are two tavernas within walking distance from the villas. The

nearest beach is Megali Ammos, four kilometres away, where there is a

watersports centre.
