Broadway is returning to Miami, and we at the Arsht
Center are thrilled to welcome you back to the Ziff
Ballet Opera House for an incredible season of TonyÂŽ
Award-winning musicals. Weâre excited not just
because the shows are spectacular, but also because
Broadwayâs return is a welcome reminder of the life
we share in the performing arts. When the curtain
rises on opening night of Hairspray this December,
our community will take another important step
toward normalcy. It will be a joyful evening, and we
cannot wait to experience it with you. And while we
celebrate, know that your safety is our top priority.
This Broadway in Miami season continues the Arsht
Centerâs commitment to bringing you the highest
caliber arts and entertainment. In addition to a new
touring production of Hairspray, the season includes the South Florida premiere of
Hadestown, the 50th anniversary production of Jesus Christ Superstar and the Miami
debuts of Dear Evan Hansen and Anastasia. You can read more about each of these
shows, along with the measures the Arsht Center has taken to make your Broadway in

Together, they embark on an epic adventure to help her find home, love and family. Anastasia features a book by celebrated playwright Terrence McNally, a score by Stephen Flaherty (music) and Lynn Ahrens (lyrics) and direction by TonyÂŽ Award winner Darko Tresnjak.

In celebration of Jesus Christ Superstarâs 50th anniversary, a new mesmerizing production comes to North America. Helmed by the acclaimed director Timothy Sheader (Crazy for You, Into the Woods) and award-winning choreographer Drew McOnie (King Kong, Strictly Ballroom), this production won the 2017 Olivier Award for Best Musical Revival and garnered unprecedented reviews and accolades.
With music and lyrics by Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and TonyÂŽ winners Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice, Jesus Christ Superstar is set against the backdrop of an extraordinary series of events during the final weeks in the life of Jesus Christ as seen through the eyes of Judas.
