What Are We Building

• 15 underground stations and 10 surface stops – 9 km below ground and 10 km above ground

• A maintenance and storage facility

• A 19-kilometre route separated from regular traffic

• Transit communications system

• Links to 54 bus routes, three subway stations,

GO Transit, and a new UP Express station

Brentcliffe Portal• Preparatory works are underway or complete

– Geotechnical Investigations complete– Subsurface Utility Investigations complete– Tree Protection and Removals ongoing

• Installation of rebar, waterproofing, electrical, and concrete works continue

West At-Grade • Preparatory works are underway or complete

– Periodical Geotechnical Investigations ongoing– Subsurface Utility Investigations ongoing– Tree Protection and Removals ongoing

• Median Removals mid-block on Eglinton Ave East between Pharmacy and DVP complete; Intersections to get underway soon (pending permits)

• Temporary signals already started at Pharmacy, will be followed by Leslie, then others as permits obtained.

• Median removal at intersections planned for early December.• Single laning between Brentcliffe and Celestica ramps expected to go into effect spring 2018.

• Utility relocations in final stage of design.

Science Centre Station Update

• The new traffic set up was completed mid-October and is expected to be in place for approximately 3 months.

• Work continues on the mud-slab in bottom of the main entrance excavation

• The E/W storm work is expected to get underway in December• Work within the intersection is expected to start in December• Gervais drive has been widened to allow traffic lane adjustments

once the work to install the E/W new water main and Sanitary and Storm sewer upgrades begin

• A Bus Mock Up Field Test takes place this weekend to allow TTC to confirm modelling data for the new Bus Terminal at Science Centre Station

Current Traffic Staging at Don Mills & Eglinton: 5C

Traffic flip took place mid-October and is expected to be in place for approximately 3 months.
