Endowments and Strategic ReserveFinancial InfoSt. Stephen’s Episcopal Day School operates solely on tuition and fees for basic expenses such as personnel, cafeteria, academic after school expenses, facilities, operations and depreciation. Our budget in 2015-2016 had a gap of $375,000. Additional expenses and programs are funded by dollars donated through the annual fund and the School and Home Association.

School and Home AssociationThank you to all of our volunteers. The School and Home Association strives to maintain a safe, happy environment for our children that is stimulating and intellectually engaging. Your efforts throughout this campus do not go unnoticed. Our campus is charged with energy and purpose.

All year long, committees met to support our library, STEAM initiatives, green efforts, classrooms, yearbook, teachers and staff. We upheld our much anticipated traditions of the Welcome Back Carnival, Book Fair, Field Day, Christmas Tree Sale, Teacher/Parent Cocktails, and Teacher Appreciation events.

We also celebrated our community at the World Is Our Canvas dinner and auction in the spring. The generosity of our donors, sponsors, participants and chairs allowed us to raise an exceptional amount. This will fund financial aid the following school year as well as fulfill teacher proposals, facilitate campus improvements and allow continued education through assemblies and programs.

It has been an honor to serve you as the School and Home President this past year. Your dedication to creating an idyllic community for our children is moving and awe inspiring.

The World is Your Canvas Gala Auction Event sparked our creative senses and inspired our community to support students on financial-aid. One of our very own alumna Brianna Becerra‘14 shared a heartfelt story of gratitude for receiving financial aid for eight consecutive years. Silvia Larrauri set a goal for us to reach 100% participation for the fourth consecutive year and our school community met this challenge in five short weeks. We are grateful for the leadership of our Reach for The Stars Annual Giving Co-Chairs: Martha and Dougan Clarke, Christie and David Martin, Lucia and Eduardo Michelsen, Rafael and Bricen Urquidi. Under their leadership St. Stephen’s set a new fundraising record of $411,253! Gifts to the annual fund bridge a critical gap in our operating budget and provide professional development opportunities for faculty and staff, financial aid, campus and facility improvements, and leading edge curricular initiatives.
