Boll weevils eat the seed pod of the cotton plants. They use their long noses to get the seed pod of the cotton. Baby boll weevils eat the inside of cotton. When boll weevils eat the cotton it turns yellow and falls off the plant.

Boll weevils are no longer than your eyelash. They have a head, thorax and abdomen. They have a long nose and their mouth is on their nose. They have a hairy back with a stripe on it. The boll weevils can be red, brown or gray.

Boll weevils lay their eggs in cotton. They put farmers out of business when they came to the U.S.A. Now you know about the boll weevil.
