MATCH UP: This is the second pair of PSAC crossover contests for the Huskies this season, and the second straight year Bloomsburg will travel to IUP and Cal for regular season matchups. Tuesday marks the 53rd meeting between Bloomsburg and IUP. BU won the meeting last year, which broke a two-game skid against the Crimson Hawks dating back to the 2006-07 season, a 70-67 overtime victory. Each team has won 26 times in the overall series. THE LAST TIME (BU-IUP): Trevon Johnson dished out a career-high 10 assists, his final assist coming on a Lorenzo Christmas three-pointer that propelled Bloomsburg past eighth-ranked Indiana (PA), 66-64. Stat Leaders DOUBLE-DOUBLE MACHINE: Dontahe Jordan registered double-doubles in each of BU’s opening three games this season. He is fourth in the PSAC in rebounding at 10.6 per game. His four offensive re-bounds per game are fourth in the PSAC. Jordan has 16 career double-doubles in-cluding 10 during his freshman season in 2010-11.

CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD(S): Dontahe Jordan grabbed a career-high 20 re-bounds while scoring 23 points in Blooms-burg’s 88-86 overtime victory against Chestnut Hill. The last BU men’s basket-ball player with 20 rebounds was 6-9 cen-ter Mike Day, who had 20 at home against East Stroudsburg on Feb. 8, 1997.

THREE IS BETTER THAN TWO: The Hus-kies are second in the PSAC with 6.9 three-pointers per game. Lorenzo Christmas’ 17 three-pointers are third in the PSAC, and his 37 percent from beyond the arc ranks eighth in the PSAC.

SEND IT BACK: Wes Lyons had two blocks against Millersville. It was the first multi-block game for a Bloomsburg player this year.

WINNING THE CLOSE ONES: BU’s two wins this season have been by a combined three points.

SCORING IN THE PAINT: 192 of Bloomsburg’s 480 points have been in the paint, 40% of BU’s total points and an average of 27.4 per game.

LIGHTS OUT LORENZO: Junior Lorenzo Christmas is sixth on the Blooms-burg all-time three-pointers list with 120. He has also made a three-pointer in 17 straight games.

BENCH SCORING: BU had a season-high 32 points off the bench against Slip-pery Rock and averages 11 points per game off the bench. Not including the SRU game, BU averages just 7.5 points off the bench.

SIXTH-MAN POTENTIAL: BU is +23 this season when Christmas, Haigler, Jor-dan, Lyons, and Leaks are on the floor, the highest +/- rating of any combo. Leaks started in BU’s last game against Millersville, the second start of his career.

CHARLES IN CHARGE: Freshman point guard Charles Haigler had a career-high 21 points and six steals against Edinboro. He averages 3.3 assists per game and is 13th in the PSAC with 1.9 steals per game.

NEW PIPELINE TO BU: Charles Haigler, from Charles Town, W. Va., is the first player from West Virginia to play men’s basketball for the Huskies in 30 years.

OVERTIME HISTORY: Bloomsburg is 7-9 in overtime games in the John Sanow era. The last occurance was an 88-86 win over Chestnut Hill in the 2012-13 season. In the last two seasons, BU is 5-1 in overtime games, with its only loss coming to Millersville in triple overtime on Feb. 5, 2011.

DEFEND THE PERIMETER: IUP and Cal rank in the top four in three-point per-centage. IUP leads the PSAC at 39.6 percent, and Cal is fourth at 35.6 per-cent.

CAPTAIN TRIO: Lorenzo Christmas, Dontahe Jordan, and Nnamdi Njoku have been chosen as captains for the 2012-13 season.

THE NEXT JORDAN: Junior Dontahe Jordan returns as the PSAC East Athlete of the Year. Bloomsburg’s leading scorer each of the last two seasons, Jordan was selected to the All-PSAC East preseason team as well as the Basketball Times All-American team. Jordan averaged a career-best 15.9 points per game in 2011-12 and led the PSAC in free throw percentage at 87.9.

FAREWELL: The Huskies said goodbye to two of last year’s seniors Larry Webster and Trevon Johnson. The duo each scored 1,000 career points. Both players reached the milestone last season, making it the first time two BU players have reached the feat in the same season since 2002-03.
