ROGER GUTIERREZ CELEBRATES

BIRTHDAY!

What a better way and time to announce of

one’s gratitude and appreciation for life’s

blessings than on your birthday. On behalf of

hubby Roger who celebrated his birthday at the

Palms, Nady opened the birthday party with a

brief and inspiring prayer. She thanked

everyone for coming. She also made special

mention of how Zynia, “practically a part of

my family,” introduced her and Roger to the

Filipinos in Solivita.

The sumptuous dinner enjoyed by the guests

was catered by our very own Eddie and Ely

Jose. It was followed by a short program with

many highlights. Sister Angie performed a

special Japanese dance. Some rendered songs.

Guests danced to the great music of DJs

Roger, Ed and Archie.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY…MANY MANY MORE ...

Upon return from his 21-day trip from

Dubai, Ernie Canlas celebrated his birthday

at the Palms on April 2. At hand to greet

him is his beautiful family headed by his

doting wife Carmen (Mimie for short).

Also at hand to celebrate with him are

Solivita / friends and neighbors.

Dr. Ellery Canlas, Ernie and Mimie’s son

delivered a warm welcome speech.

followed by an opening prayer by his sister.

Everyone enjoyed the prime rib, salmon

catered by Mosaics and a dozen or more

mouth- watering desserts brought by the

guests. Also enjoyed were the beautiful

song renditions by many talented guests as

well as some impromptu folk dances.

Guests danced the night away to the great

music of our favorite DJ Edwin Jose. It

was a night to remember.

APRIL BIRTHDAYS AT THE BOK TOWER AND

GARDENS

April celebrants Carmen Canlas

and Marlene Simeon (Safy didn’t

make it) were feted with a birthday

celebration at the scenic Bok Tower

and Gardens.

Eleven FAS Friends Forever (FFF)

that joined the birthday trip had a

great time. The group that arrived

ahead had the chance to take

pictures at the orange grooves.

As soon as the second group arrived

everyone got together at the theater

to watch a nine-minute history of

Bok Gardens. Without wasting

time they headed to the cafeteria to

start the birthday celebration. The

garden tour followed. At the end of

the tour the group gathered under a

big tree and shared some “those

were the days” stories much to the

delight of everyone.

While eating and nibbling on fruits,

nuts and chips, the “story telling

and jokes” continued. Everyone

shared funny jokes. Even Veny D.

shared her own joke. The group

never laughed so hard.

What a great day. Thank you for

the fun and camaraderie. Until next

time.
